  • People that say GGG needs to move up are...

****ing ******ed. You guys act like the guys 25, and still has room to grow, and dwarfing his opponents. The guys in his 30's, and comes into the ring at like 168 for God's sake. The man is actually smaller than Canelo.

When the hell's the last time GGG made his opponent look smaller. If anything, a lot of the MWs are bigger than him.

The guy is an exact MW. No more, no less. If he moves up, he's always gonna be the smaller man, and with his style, it's not as easy to be successful as he moves up. Guys like Floyd and Pacquiao can move up and be successful agaisnt bigger guys, because of their style of fighting, and their movement, and speed.

GGG is a pressure fighter that isn't great off his backfoot like most fleet footed, slick counter punchers. Use common sense.

"dontae" is a racist idiot, so anything he produces and edits is a part of that racist vision, and therefore ******ed.

if you watch the video, dontae is loading questions in litereally any way he can to try and diminish what golovkin does. basically he implies that he's not supposed to be at 160 / shoulldn't be at 160, and that he has advantages because he's hiding out there.

mcallum basically says, "you really don't think this kid is going to hit hard 8 pounds higher?"

              dontae's like, "w-w-w-well doe."

I applaud you for admitting GGG is not good enough to move up.

Ignore Dontate. McCallum is the one who mentioned it first.

Besides, they're both holding GGG's feet to Pacquiao's standards. Pacquiao went up a LOT of classes - PEDs notwithstanding.

I think he should move up at some point but even at 168, who can he beat that people are going to say is a great win? Ward is 175 now. If GGG goes up and beats someone like DeGale or Jack, is anybody going to say it's a great win? no. 168 just isn't what it was 5 years ago. There isn't any big money fights at 168 either.

Outside of Canelo, the only place he could go to get the credit for beating guys and big money is 175. That's just how the boxing landscape is at the moment between 160-175.

At the end of the day though, he wanted to fight the other champion in his division and see who's the best, which you can't say about many fighters these days. Isn't that going some way to proving greatness too? But it's difficult when guys won't fight you. Most guys are happy getting a belt, holding it hostage and not fight the other top guys in the division. Yet Canelo is actively seeking to clean out the division by beating other champs and people get on his back for it.
