Why is this lame (the youtube video maker) acting like he's part of the Lion's Den?

he makes some valid points though. Dan Rafael acting like the expert, his job is to get hits and readers, don't forget that.

I don't think he knows or understands much about what goes on in the ring, but he's a useful source of information for what goes on outside it.

I just ignore his opinion on most boxing topics.

Dan took the boxing job at USA today not because he was a boxing fanatic, but because that was the beat they offered. Since he's been at ESPN, he strikes me as someone who will simply do what he is told and will tow the company line without rocking the boat.

I think he is opinionated much like the majority of people on here, I think maybe he brings it to a far too high of a level BUT he keeps himself public he represents the sport and doesn't hide behind any social media site by that I mean he is at events where he will meet these boxers.

Overall he is a good source for news in the sport he can be a bit of a d*ck but as can everyone on here be.

I find him to be distasteful. I think he came into boxing at the right time when it was not a marquee sport and was able to land a great job because of it. He bothers me in the sense that he only likes **** fights and all out wars and fighters who fight in that fashion, basically career ending type fights. He is VERY disrespectful to people who put their life on the line every time they step into that ring.

He also engages in cyber wars with fighters which I think is extremely unprofessional. I like Brian Campbell much better but he moved on to MMA. Does anyone else find Dan Rafael bothersome?

I get the feeling deep down that he hates boxers. Maybe all the mean stuff they have said about him over the years in catching up. He has an open bias against foreign fighters as well.

I'm not a fan. He comes across as a bit of a condescending **** at times when he talks down to boxing fans on twitter, who have only asked him legit questions.

Biased towards certain fighters also, to the point you have to take what he's saying with a pinch of salt.
