If Canelo and Cotto throw themselves into the 154 division, along with the Charlos, J-Rock, Andrade, Smith, and Lara, I see at least 2 years of great match-ups to be made. This is why I think GGG must accept 155 (or at least call his bluff) to fight Canelo now! I think this talk of Liam Smith is just leverage for the GGG negotiations.

Like we had WW with Thurman/Porter/Brook/Khan/Maidana/Bradely/Spence/DSG all fighting eachother non stop right? get real , if we get 1 good match up a YEAR in that division i will say thanks.

With or without Cotto and Canelo, I believe we get Jeramall vs. J-Rock, and at least 1 more good one @ 154 before the year is out! We just had 3 SWW championship fights in one night! I understand your doubts, but I'm hopeful that 154 and 175 will heat up BIG in 2017!

They'd have to actually fight each other. Only Charlo -J-rock looks possible, and even then there is talk j-rock bolts.

Yup! And I think Thurman/Brook could EASILY make 154 as well.154 lbs is one of the best divisions right now. Maidana as well if he ever wants to fight again!

Why? he is a champion and Cinnamon is a natural 154 lb, so it makes sense to me.

He's not a natural 154er when he can't make 154. Hence why he tries to get away with adding 1 pound.

If he's going back to 154 (which I doubt, more likely dragging Smith up to MW and calling it JRMW), then he better not fight him at 155. They shouldn't sanction that BS.
