And yes, Jack, the Dirrells, etc. would be quality wins in the eyes of real fans, but none of them are big names. No ppv, no big paydays. Just a bunch of kudos from NSB posters.
Could be. The last lb is always the hardest, and eventually you can't even give that especially when you consider he's dropping 30lbs already. But 154-155 isn't the argument its 160-155, because canelo is ready for it at 155, and ggg is begging for a fight so he may need to go ahead and drop that weight.

And considering what you wrote in the bold its more reason for him to go up and see if Ward is still interested in a 168 fight ( I doubt he will be) or to go ahead and drop them 4 lbs.

Understanding that part of fortune the classic magician trick Canelo is pulling on him and the public is amazing. He can shrink down to 154 but fight night is 180. He has people believing he is too small to fight at middle 160! He has people feeling bad for him truly amazing. He inherited can't do no wrong scam from Floyd. He will cherry pick make huge ppv$ like Floyd just not as much

Maybe because he fought Floyd? But Canelo lost 10 rounds. He somehow inherited the Floyd scam where everyone believes his nonsense. They paid to watch him at 180 beat up a welter then call out GGG but not fight him. He fights at 180 and says 160 is too hard ! Fans falling for this amazing Hagler laughing in English and Italian from Italy

isn't there some sort of time limit, etc where if you dont fight at that weight for x amount of fights a "new" lineal will be made with the #1 & 2 of said divisions?

Also, this is what I've been saying about a Lara fight. It might look good on paper, but people will still shít on him for fighting a smaller guy.

But will Ramirez, Jack, or Degale really improve his resume in the eyes of casual fans?

Is Ward really the only fight with which he can prove himself?

Says a lot about Golovkin, if you ask me..
Agree with your comments on Canelo. Canelo obviously has less confidence he can handle even a top ten MW - otherwise why not do it when you were a WBC belt holder?

I agree with outcome of Lara fight. He is highly skilled but too small so GGG gets no credit if he wins and dismissed if Lara could somehow pull out a close points win. And all for little money. Why bother?

Disagree with your other comments. How would Golovkin not get credit for fighting and beating a SMW title holder such as the three you mentioned? Any fighter that goes up a weight and first fight is against a title holder in the higher division should get anywhere between some credit and a lot of credit depending on who the belt holder is.

IMO Golovkin gets credit to varying degrees (1-10) if he beats any of the following:- Canelo (7), BJS(8), Eubank(5), Lara(6), Andrade(7), J-Rock(6)[still young] [should last 3 move up] the three SMW belt holders you mentioned (8-9), Ward (10) Froch (5) Chavez Jr (5) [previous 2 if they come out of retirement] Bute (6).

                Edit - forgot about Jacobs - (7.5)

It is not Fortunas business to tell Golovkin where or who he should fight. Fortuna should get his **** and own business together.

We have a chance not to do it again with Canelo. Don't buy a Kahn charade. Don't support that he can't make 160. We drive the sport if we only pay for the good fights they will have to make them.

At 1:05 he is asked what he thinks in regards to Golovkin and Canelo fighting at 160:
