i think he was the "best" fighter of the generation, yes. he'd beat manny at any weight, and it's a toss discussion between those two only to see who is "best" from this era.

but manny has a better resume, going from flyweight to WW [which has never been done,] and most of the floyd mayweather fans don't have the chops to argue that. they go through these strange mental gymnastics to downplay something that's literally never been done in 100+ years men have been boxing with gloves on.

What Pacquiao did was called growing up. Mayweather did it too in the amateurs fighting top fighters, Pacquiao did it fighting and getting KTFO by bums.
