If Haymon doesn't bail out Top Rank... is Arum finished?

PBC is on ESPN aren't they? Why would ESPN need to sign with any promoter?
Part of the Haymon relationship with ESPN was through Brian Kweder, who is no longer at ESPN. Haymon and Kweder may still have some relationships at ESPN, but the network has had a lot of layoffs since the PBC relationship began, so I'm not sure looking in from the outside that you can say what kind of relationship still exists with ESPN.
That is a relationship. Geez... you can't be that ****** can you?
You really hope ESPN goes back to doing FNF LOLComment

That raises question of what exactly Haymon is trying to accomplish, and whether Haymon his goals have changed, or had to change, since the PBC started.Comment

He's trying to take over US boxing and put all the little shet promoters out of business.
So far it looks like he is on the road to success.Comment

The current relationship was paid for by the PBC/Waddell & Reed.
That doesn't mean the relationship will remain the same once the "time buy" ends.Last edited by Mitchell Kane; 06-02-2016, 04:19 PM.Comment

Oh yeah... I'm sure Haymons team barely converses with the ESPN guys right now. They probably communicate via sign language lol.

ESPN sold them time, so of course they're going to talk.
That's like celebrating the fact that you're talking to a hooker after you already paid her the money.Comment

You don't get it.
You act like PBC doesn't have a current working relationship with the ESPN team. They do regardless whether it's paid for or not.
Nobody else in boxing does.
PBC owns exclusives to Corona's domestic deals. ESPN won't set foot into boxing with Corona on board.Comment

The ESPN/Corona boxing sponsorsip goes back to 2011, which pre-dates the PBC.You don't get it.

ESPN, Corona Extra Announce Boxing Agreement
By Marcus Vanderberg on Apr. 21, 2011 - 9:11 PMComment
ESPN and Corona Extra announced a multimedia sponsorship agreement Thursday that makes the Mexican beer the presenting sponsor of ESPN’s Friday Night Fights and Golpe a Golpe, ESPN Deportes’ weekly boxing studio show.
Along with fight telecast sponsorship, the agreement includes English and Spanish language in-ring exposure via a center ring mat with the Corona Extra logo, digital and print exposure and on-site activations.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Corona Extra replaces Tecate, which decided not to renew their deal with ESPN in February.Last edited by Mitchell Kane; 06-02-2016, 05:14 PM.Comment

Geez you are dense. There is no deal between Corona and ESPN now.
PBC has exclusives on Corona. That means if ESPN wants to do boxing without PBC, they cannot get Corona back.
