You are aware that we are less than halfway through 2016 right? He has fought once, shooting for a fight in September and another in December. How many times has Golovkin fought less than 3 times a year? How many times has Andre fought in the last 3years?Comment

Uhhh no, if Ward was GGG then he'd probably still be trying to collect all the belts at 168 and offering Kovalev a 171 catchweight while being okay with Stevenson at 175.
Don't compare Ward needing tune ups for Kovalev to anything GGG is dealing with, Canelo is nothing compared to Kovalev. When GGG is in that deep in terms of competition then we'll see.
Oh I see, how you are OK with coddling Andre CoWard for years with cab-driving tune ups before he has to fight Kova at 175, but you want GGG to fight Ward at 168 with no tune ups at 168...
I love the excuse-making double-standard having fan boys... I'd guess you're a ******* who supports ***** also?Comment

Look at all the GGG fans already in fear of this fight! Why? Because they know that if Andre Ward climbs through those ropes to fight Kovalev in 2016, GGG will look like a Lil' G before Ward even throws a punch! They don't want to watch Ward in a mega-fight with Kovalev because of the courage it would display on Andre Ward's part. The GGG fans know that they can't doubt whether he was serious about fighting GGG, when he accepts the challenge to fight the bigger fighter in Kovalev. As soon as Ward climbs throught those ropes, that argument is over! And GOD forbid that Ward actually wins the fight! OH NO! They're praying hard for that not to happen! The best thing they could hope for is for Ward to A) Not fight Kovalev at all, or B) Kovalev puts a beating on Ward, comes back to 168 as damage goods and fights GGG!Comment

I think Kova-Ward will be Calzaghe-Lacy although I'll admit that Ward is much better skilled than Lacy, he still has to rely on clinching and that doesn't work against bigger fighters who will not be affected by Ward lying his weight on them...
Kova was able to rock Hopkins many times...a Hopkins on his toes that entire fight... Ward is a flat-footed clincher who uses angles and clinching to confuse his opponents and limit their offense..the clinching won't work on Kova..plus Ward's chin is suspect...
I'm taking Kova by late KOComment

Heres a quick breakdown of Gennadys activity. He has fought at least 3 times a year since turning pro with the exception of the following years:
2010-2
2011-2
2012-2 (he did fight 4 times in 2013, including a fight in Jan 2013)Comment

Ward is nothing special..he doesn't compare with Floyd or Manny Pac, Hopkins, Roy Jones, etc. He's a coddled fighter whose entire claim to fame is beating past-their-prime mid 30s Europeans fighters... Kessler wasn't the same after Calzaghe beat him and Froch is a very good fighter but unless he's working behind his jab, he's just a flat-footed slugger..he couldn't use his jab against Mr. Clinch and never get warned...
Triple G is in his mid 30s and still makes 160 easily...he has no reason to move up at this late stage in his career... especially when Canelo is in his division and is actually a star not a guy who can't even pack small Oakland arenas.Comment

GGG never offered Ward a catchweight. 50/50 money and weight was just a hypothetical statement on what would be fair terms to make the fight.
And talking about Ward being in so deep in terms of competition ... who is Andre going to be fighting next?
It WON'T be Kovalev, that's for sure.Comment
