Good for Abel I say!what a wanker.....
Andre Ward Must Go to 164 or No Fight.....
Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, has made it absolutely clear that he's not going to budge from his position that a potential fight with Andre Ward will only happen if Ward - the recognized champion at super middleweight - is wiling to meet them halfway at a catch-weight of 164-pounds. Golovkin and his team received more than their fair share of heat in recent days, after placing a catch-weight demand on a potential fight with Ward. The reason for the heat, is because Golovkin was willing to fight both Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the full super middleweight limit.
Promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, who handle IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs), says a fight can certainly be worked out with WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward (28-0, 15 KOs). But the deal would have to be under Golovkin's terms and not dictated by Ward. Loeffler feels Golovkin has surpassed Ward as a ticket seller and in terms of name recognition - making GGG the A-side of the negotiations.
Only a fanboy ****** would defend gennady-weight, while bashing canelo-weight.
Grow up kid.
So is Golovkin going to have to relinquish his "gennady-weight" titles, or are you comparing apples to pears again?Comment

This is where I have to correct Sanchez. Ward will show Kovalev a new way of strong things. Remember Bigonefromcuba told you.Comment

Going to be so sweet hearing about how "weak" LHW is all of a sudden when Kovalev knocks Ward outComment

Just out of curiosity how would you rate the top tier (top 9 or 10 guys) at JMW and SMW? Myself I'm not convinced either division is significantly better but I like to get a feel for how other folk evaluate these things.Comment
