Mayweather vs Marciano: Who was Greater?

Mayweather is better than Marciano
Mayweather is greater than Marciano. Now, I know that Marciano is white, a legend and got a higher KO percentage, but when looking at the quality of their opponents, then one may wonder how Marciano is even mentioned in the same sentence as Mayweather. Mayweather got wins like Pacquiao and Corrales, Marciano got nothing compared to that. It's just not fair to rate the less accomplished fighter higher than the more accomplished fighter.Comment

Not going to report you, just letting you know it's very obvious that they're your alts so save yourself the time and save yourself from looking more ****** by arguing against it.Oh really? Go head and report me then if you're so sure. You Fraud Jr fans are embarrassing.
In fact, I admit it. Spoon, Luilin, bipolar hero, Rath, anthonydavid, Adpd, ******r, and every one else supporting Marciano are all alts of mine. Happy now?
Now that we've got that out of the way, answer me this:
Who has Froid beat that trumps Marciano's win over Joe Louis?
I'm still waiting.
He has plenty but what's the point in saying it if you're just going to say "no he's not"
Answer me this, how many fighters in the top 10 did Marciano beat?Comment

"waaaah........it's not fair.......... waaaaaah"
The people have spoken. Marciano > Floyd.
Marciano KOing Joe Louis (greatest heavyweight of all time) >>> Floyd's whole joke career.Comment

Joe Louis was old. But fine, smart guy, let's talk Joe Louis. Tell me who he defeated to be the greatest ever? And I don't care about how many he defeated or how he easily he did or for how long he went without losing, if such things mattered to me, I would consider Wilder the best ever. I'm only interested in 1 thing. WHO has Louis defeated among good names? And don't give me some 50-11-3 kinda opponents, lol.Comment

Opinions are like azzholes, everyone has one and you're certainly entitled to yours.
Name one win for Floyd that's better than Joe Louis (who is ranked as the #1 heavyweight of all time by most boxing experts establishments and magazines.)
You won't? It's because you can't.
And at the time of that fight Louis was ranked as the 2-3 best heavyweight in the world. Not prime Louis, but still better than a one-armed post-ktfo shot Manny.Last edited by Avenge Myself; 05-31-2016, 03:26 AM.Comment

Aww you mad kid that I shut down your fail thread and had it moved? LOL.Joe Louis was old. But fine, smart guy, let's talk Joe Louis. Tell me who he defeated to be the greatest ever? Almost every boxing historian has Joe Louis as the #1 heavyweight in history above even Ali or at least in the top 3, I'll take their opinion over yours kid.
GTFO and let the adults talk.
Beat me to it

Floyd has the way better resume. Marciano fought in a weak era. All of his top names are smaller guys coming up to heavy or guys who were completely shot. People make a big deal about him only being 190 lbs but he was the naturally larger guy in almost all of his best wins.
Floyd went through multiple divisions, spent his entire career fighting larger men and fought at a higher level of competition way on earlier on his career.
You had to add that last part? That was cringe worthy. Sounded like Arum talking about Pacquiao "Pac was always a poor little guy fighting giants."
Yikes. I'm out of here. This is one of *those* threads.Comment

That's better, refrain from denying it. Good look.Opinions are like azzholes, everyone has one and you're certainly entitled to yours.

I easily can, but again, is there any point?
How can you say Pacquaio was shot, then justify Louis by saying he was ranked #1? Wasn't Pacquaio ranked #1 and P4P #2?
Even still, if you were to say that Louis is better than anything Floyd did, extremely debatable but let's for argument sake say that's true, Floyd still has a whole lot more depth to his resume than Marciano does.
I'll ask again seeing as you didn't respond, how many fighters in the top 10 did Marciano beat?Comment
