Canelo is already making more than GGG by a fair deal. What's a few mil when you're already making more to KO khan. Again, this is as per gbp. And as far as the mando..a lot of good it did him right? Canelo got rid of the belt and now there's no more room to stand on. So now that he's no longer the mandatory if the fight isnt made with that logic it means GGG is ducking right?

Everyone said "if youre the champ at 160 then move up to 160 and fight otherwise give up the title" and he has. Now what? Canelo doesn't need GGG. Canelo could retire right now and if GGG stays at 160 he'll have a nice shout out in the history books but no one will remember him outside of us. Canelo would likely retire having fought better opponents and beaten some of them and also retire with a much larger bank account. Who doesn't need who? Ggg isnt Canelo's first rodeo. Canelo is GGG's first and only big name....

You have to sit back and look at both arguments. Yeah.. GGG was the mando and should have gotten a shot if Canelo wanted to keep the title...he didn't. It's not about agreeing with GBP its about understanding why things are the way they are.

You know damn well if you're oscar you don't put Canelo in vs GGG with anything that might resemble an advantage. Its why GGG didn't fight Ward at 68. It's not about mandos anymore..GGG isnt some prospect. Its about fame and the name now. Team GGG can say Ward doesnt sell but Canelo can't?

If you're team ggg it's obviously frustrating but at this point GGG is like a lesser named Khan...begging for Pac and Mayweather shots. This they care? Theyll make more money fighting me or you than Khan will fighting almost anyone. Likewise for Canelo. Sure..he could make a little more fighting GGG...or he can continue making a lot more than GGG does and not fight GGG. Canelo's name is already above the belts. Sucks but it's true. Canelo is already in the books as a former wbc and lineal mw champ and dude didnt even have to go to 160.

It's not about fair. It's about reality..and in boxing it always comes full circle. Avoid someone because they dont make money? Someone will do the same or will have done the same to you at some point.

Get f ucked on the scales before youre the cash cow (ala Canelo-Floyd) guess what? You'll probably never get f ucked on the scales again. You live you learn....and team GGG has been at school for a few years learning yet he keeps being held back a grade when names come calling and he doesnt know the answer.

You just wrote a whole article and said nothing. Mike Lee is a bigger draw than Gallito Estrada so what? Canelos starpower will suffer as his credibility takes a huge hit.

So lets assume..every GGG fan (the 90k or whatever) turns on Canelo....

There's still hundreds of thousands who don't care. You, me..boxingscene is one small sample. Mexico is a huge country and the fans arent that dumb. People will always give the benefit of the doubt to the guy who's given the fans what they want time and time again. Especially if it isn't against another Mexican. History has taught us that most wont care all that much. We'll have 5,6 herobandos screaming bloody murder while the rest of the world just goes "We'll he's never been afraid before..."

Didn't hurt Floyd..didn't hurt Manny..hasn't ever hurt anyone. Give them a KO and they'll forget about it for a time. If you're that big of a GGG fan you should know this. Ggg's making a career that way so far

The belief that Golovkin is a star is crazy. I've never met a Golovkin fan.

To be fair I'm a massive ggg fan. I just try look at it from both sides and try to understand why s hit happens. I even favor GGG vs Canelo but that doesn't mean much when it comes to who needs who and who can afford to do what they want. Canelo could literally just go "I'm back at 54" and every s hitty Canelo fan will just say "Why is lil G trying to make people come up and down for him?..nelo never fought at 160. Ggg said he'd fight anyone from 154-168. Lolololz"

It's just the way it is. Ggg is a name..he has the titles..you're in the books...now make people remember you. Stop acting like a prospect trying to get your first title. This isnt 1960... All that matters in this day and age to a lot of fighters is getting the title, defending it once and thats it.

I've admonished boxing fans a while back; Especially the Triple G fans that Oscar would never put his charge in the ring with Gennady Golovokin. I was attacked ferociously because of it, by them calling me everything but a child of God.

For example: I was called a disgusting creature and to find myself another sport to follow only because I dared to state the obvious. De La hoya would have been a damn fool to cash out his meal ticket this soon.

For one, is company is foundering and two, he doesn't have that many fighters left in his stable with drawing power to begin with. So then he is going to risk his only cash cow against a dangerous high risk/low reward fighter? I don't think so.

One has to be borderline insane in order to follow that sort of logic.

It's nt just me, he's lampooned by fellow fighters, trainers, etc. Mexican fans don't like duckers either. "Mexicans don't fcuk around" as Canelo said high on adrenaline
