Chasing?? He very graciously allowed Martinez, Cotto and now Canelo to take interim fights so long as he got the mandatory he's been owed for over two years now.

Did he want a big money fight? Yes. But his first goal was unification. Next I'm guessing he'll try, AGAIN, to get Saunders in the ring......the WBA also says they will order that fight with Jacobs to have a single champion.

It's easy to say GGG has not fight the best at 160.....they won't fight him. I do believe Lara will and GGG will fight him if given the chance assuming HBO will work with Al Haymon and Lara isn't contracted to SHO.....

But crazy as it sounds......you do have to fight mandatories to keep your belts and you can't pick who they are. The sanctioning bodies do, like it or not.

So until Lara officially moved to MW.....GREAT......but you can't make Jacobs, Lee, Quillen, Korobov, or any of the others fight him.

Golovkin beat Rubio for that WBC mandatory spot in October 2014, four months earlier Cotto retired Sergio. Their paths never had a realistic chance of crossing, by the time GGG was getting popular Martinez was well on his way out.

From the looks of things it seems like Canelo is ducking. That's a damn shame I was looking forward to this fight. But with that said please don't fight another bum from Menards. No more bums. You got fat off of bums, Canelo doesn't want it, then fight Lara.

Call his bluff if you think he is lying. Lara been calling you out, said he would move up to 160 all that, have Loeffler make that fight happen. He is better than any other fighter you can face, and has a name, especially after fighting Canelo on PPV. But yeah fight Lara and finally fight an elite fighter.

Please explain to me why Lara is an elite fighter. He is a World Class fighter but for me "elite" means a step above world class. Lets face it, there are many world class fighters in each division what with all the belt holders and former belt holders.

Lara did not look a step above Canelo when they fought. Too much running lost him the decision. Elite fighters find a way to win fights like that.

Lara will make Golovkin miss and look clumsy for a few rounds, just like Khan did to Canelo the other weekend. Then when GGG catches up with Lara it will be a TKO.

You'll be one of the first on these boards saying that Lara was underweight and giving 0 credit to Golovkin.

Having said all that I'm all for the fight if a better fight can't be made (Saunders / Jacobs ) - I wanna see 2 things - How Lara deals with Golovkins power and see all the idiots like you shut up about Lara testing Golovkin. [He won't. He is too small and GGG will catch up with him].

Canelo said he will fight GGG at 160 but did not say very next fight. It was Oscar who was saying hopefully GGG fight is next..

I can respect your break down. Lara brings a different element that lil g hasn't seen before. Unlike Khan Lara is not known for getting knocked out. Khan is pretty well known for having a suspect chin right? Lara has been in big fights is a south paw and a master boxer.

That is a serious combination, Wade, Lemieux, Murray etc known of those dudes come close to Lara in boxing skills. I wanna see the fight. I'm glad you do to. I think it about time we move on. All this back and forth is pointless. You got the belt and called his bluff. We know how this ends anyway, fight doesn't get made. Oscar goes public and says it was K2 that made the fight impossible to sign and most people end up agreeing somehow.
