Ray Leonard by 13th round TKO cuz I think Leonard would realize he can't outthink Floyd so he'll come forward an maul Floyd. He'll push Mayweather every round till he wilts and finally gets caught with a double feint, straight left and right hook.

Although, Floyd would definitely be a champ in that era, he's just too talented and smart plus the work ethic helps him since lots of guys then would parry everytime they get a win.

Floyd gets stopped by Hearns and Leonard. Outboxes Duran and Hagler shouldn't be on the coversation.

Leonard was to much for mayweather ..naturally bigger , longer reach , taller , KO power and he was a great finisher., Leonard faced the best fighters in history at welterweight and all in there prime benitez 22 , hearns 22 , duran 29
We have to look at who floyd actually beat as a welterweight who was in there prime and none of them were natural welterweights..guerrero,ortiz,maidana were all very limited fighters and have shown to be lacking in longevity...mosley and ODH were way past it and all those fighters had moved up to welterweight.
The sugar ray leonard that stopped thomas hearns in 1981 probably beats any other welterweight with maybe the exception of SRR ..
some trivia now.... duran, benitez, hearns and kalule they had a combined record of 177 wins with 1 loss and 1 draw before leonard faced them and he beat them.
No way does mayweather beat leonard and I could see sugar ray walking through mayweather and breaking him down by the 11th round..JOE Louis said Leonard was the best finisher he has ever seen since he was around

That's not saying very much. It's an open secret, that Leonard would be the first to crack that Mayvinci code. I am not saying this to bash Floyd Mayweather, because I have grown to respect him more as a fighter and his ring achievements as time has passed by and even more so in recent years.

However, Ray Leonard is just light years ahead of him when it comes to talent and ability. Sugar Ray is head and shoulders above him as a natural fighter. Money May just doesn't stand much of a chance against a larger, stronger and faster version of himself. Floyd's overall lack of size. low punch volume and power would hurt in him in this potential and hypothetical match up against Sugar Ray Leonard.

He just lacks the potential to seriously threaten Ray in the ring at a 147lb as opposed to another 135lb'er in Roberto Duran who punched like a mule kick.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Floyd WHITE washes this man! Your describing Floyd but accidentally called him SRL!

Floyd is lightyears beyond this man who is basically like an outdated version of Floyd! SRL is a taller, way less skilled, version of Mayweather!

Floyd would make it look so effortless due to the styles! Every single thing SRL does, would get him popped in the mouth! And he would stop in his tracks everytime he got touched! He would try to outbox Floyd which is a great No-no, then he would get frustrated in the later rounds and be a flatfooted target! He wouldnt be the taller man controlling range because Floyd is byfar better at controlling range! Floyd would be the smaller quicker guy and make him walk into punches!

And SRL would go into the fight all serious like its the fight of his life! And Floyd would go into the fight like its simply just another opponent!

Floyd is all wrong for those type of outdated fighters and its not fair to compare guys like SRL, SRR, Hearns, or Duran, to fighters of the future! If Floyd and Pac fought in his era, he would be absolutely shocked that these fighters even existed!

I mean they would be astounded! The old Floyd can run and clinch his way to an easy victory! The Second prime Floyd who walked down Jumbo Canelo, without getting grazed by a single punch, would TKO SRL's tall skinny butt! The 2009 Floyd would humiliate him from mid range and throw leads and counters from every angle known to man.

And young Floyd would beat df out of this man!

Cant compare eras because without SRL their wouldnt be a way for Floyd to be so perfect! While SRL didnt have a Floyd to teach him how to box!

            This is not even debatable!

If Leonard said anything different, I'd honestly be disappointed. As one of the greatest fighters ever, bowing to another fighter for any reason would simply be inappropriate.

That said, I'd pick Mayweather to win due to his ring IQ, chin, stamina, activity (prime) and ability to negate activity. There's simply no one who adjusts on the fly like Mayweather could.

Well in Sugar's era, there were 15 rounds, so those scores wouldn't work back then. I think you have to consider the three extra rounds when saying one boxer can beat another boxer in another era, unless that boxer is a knockout artist, then it doesn't matter how many rounds there are. Although Floyd is well conditioned, dudes used to be exhausted by the 14th and 15th rounds. Both are my favorites of their respective eras, but I may give Sugar Ray the nod, just because i guess I'm getting like my dad.... Favoring the athletes I watched growing up over the athletes of today.

And yet to some he couldn't even win against his first fight with Castillo and his first fight with Maidana while an argument can be made for Delahoya for a draw. And a loss to a one armed Pacqiao.

A prime SRL Mops Floyd silly.

                      Castillo

Maidana - penalized all those lame foul hugs by Floyd Maidana won the first easily

70 power hugs in one night.

                      Pacquiao
