Ten months after Top Rank promoter Bob Arum filed a $100 million federal anti-trust lawsuit against Premier Boxing Champions creator Al Haymon, they settled on Thursday.

"The stipulation of dismissal was filed in federal court in Los Angeles, and it's a matter of public record," Arum told ESPN.com. "We settled, but the terms of the settlement are confidential, and I'm not going to talk about it. I'd be pissed if they said anything about it, and I am not going to..."

Arum said early in the case that he had a face-to-face meeting with Haymon, one of the rare times they have met in person since their relationship soured in 2006, when Haymon helped engineer Floyd Mayweather's exit from Top Rank.

"It was very civil," Arum said of the meeting with Haymon. "It was early on, and then it was carried on by our lawyers..."

Of course, now that the suit is out of the way, Arum did say he would be willing to make matches between Top Rank fighters and Haymon-managed boxers.

"As a legal basis, there is no impediment," Arum said. "As a practical basis, it's certainly a big possibility, but then again, it will depend on the ability of the two of us to work together to bring that about. It would make sense for both us.

"I'm optimistic that everybody is going to work together and make big fights. I think there's a realization on everybody's part that in order to get big fights, you're gonna have to work together."

Haymon still faces a $300 million lawsuit filed on similar grounds from Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions.

Isnt there another lawsuit from ex-Haymon fighters? I think one of the fighters is Australian. I heard it in a podcast.

Lara is too small for GGG. Wouldn't be a fair fight. I can appreciate Lara's motivation for wanting the fight but please.............

GGG's only hope of finding real fighters are in the SWW and SMW divisions. The Charlo brother that fought Trout is big enough. J-Rock is big enough. I actually think Lara is too small, but he's good enough. Zurdo wants it! Bute won't run from it. Chavez Jr. wants it. I'm sure the DeGale/Badou Jack winner would oblige. All these guys however, are with Haymon. K2 needs to start a conversation with Haymon, with Jacobs the 1st priority, followed by Lara, and then the others.

Lara makes sense if they want to keep the pressure on Canelo. Common opponent and it means Golovkin sits right there at middleweight looking down at the 155 lb king.

But I think it's an interesting fight regardless of all that shit. Lara is generally respected as a high level fighter, even if he shat the bed in disappointing fashion against Canelo. He's also the type of fighter that skeptics would like to see Golovkin face. He's a mover/counter-puncher with a good engine and an accurate (if sparse) punch output.

It's a lot better than Lee or Quillin or N'Dam or any of those guys we know haven't a hope of competing with him.

I haven't heard about any others besides Arum and Oscar. Oscar might want to reconsider! If Canelo could fight Haymon guys, he could fight @ 155 for another 2 years with Haymon's stable @ 154!

idk about too small, he about an inch shorter, got longer arms thank GGG, theyd be within 5lbs of eachother if they fight at 160.

Anyway, while Lara doesn't deserve a shot at the top middleweight, I say make the fight happen if GGG cannot get Saunders or Jacobs. Then after GGG beats him, we can all laugh as the detractors like the moron I quoted can cry for months about how he beat up a naturally smaller fighter.
