Not Wilder's fault at all! He spent a lot of time and energy preparing for Povetkin and then Povetkin fails the test. Wilder didn't "weasel" out of anything!

Unfortunately, there's a lot of second guessing and finger pointing going on here when nobody knows the exact details. As I've said before, Povetkin could be guilty or innocent (innocent in that the Meldonium was taken before January/the ban date).

Again: WADA urinary testing is used to detect Meldonium.

      So it's basically this:
      A) Povetkin 3 blood tests pass
      B) The urinary test detects the Meldonium in his system

Leaves us with the big question of:
      C) When was the Meldonium taken?

Hence, even if he did request to check for his B sample, it would probably still fail as the Meldonium remains in his system regardless.

What do you think will happen if it turns out Povetkin did take Meldonium only before the ban date, and never afterwards? That spells disastrous for team Wilder. Of course, it's disastrous for Povetkin if he did take it after the date.

Regardless, everyone here needs to shut the **** up and wait.
Your soo full of SHT!! You would say anything and believe anything Pedovetkin says. Just admit your boys a CHEAT. If he was walking down the street with two syringes in each arm you would still be in denial.

I don't care where you are from or what colour your skin is. 2 of my favourites were drug cheats. When they won world titles (Botha & Toney)at HW I was excited but it was short lived as they both failed their post fight tests. I was disappointed but I didn't make up excuses nor did I stop liking them. They FAILED a test & got what they deserved. Povetkin got caught cheating & he should pay for it. It's not like he won't get a shot when a suspension is up. Ortiz got an immediate shot at the interim title even after he failed. He should of lost his ranking & had to work his way back up but he didn't because GBP backs him. It will be no different for Povetkin. He may lose his mandatory position but he won't be far off because of who his promoter is. It's not Wilder's fault Povetkin's team got caught. Let's not forget Povetkin has already dropped out of 2 mandatory shots in his career. One Rahman replaced him & the other Sam Peter. Maybe POVETKIN IS THE REAL COWARD here. 2 drop outs & now he fails a drug test a few weeks before fight night. Everything points to Povetkin not wanting the fight not Wilder.
Well said! At least your not in denial and blame the other guy for him failing his drug test. I could care less about Povetkin but they came out the bat lying acting like we're all gullible and ******. Even his boss said he had 70 nano in his BLOOD. And then some quack on this site is telling me they don't check for BANNED drugs via blood. Just Urine lol.

He's not my boy, first off. I'm a proud America straight and foremost. Don't be butt-hurt about this. I can go around and post sources all day for you.

          Secondly, here's a simple source:

Abebe Aregawi, the 2013 women’s 1500m world champion, has been provisionally suspended after Meldonium was found in her A sample. Days later, Endeshaw Negesse, the 2015 Tokyo marathon with a person…

WADA decided that there was enough evidence to investigate further as they developed two separate tests for Meldonium, which has the chemical name 3-(2,2,2-trimethylhydrazine)propionate dihydrate. Both tests use a urine sample – the first is easily compatible with current tests carried out for other substances in anti-doping laboratories and could be used to screen large numbers of samples, whilst the second is more specific to Meldonium and could unequivocally determine its presence in a sample (4).
Again, I suggest you google blood testing versus urine testing or something, and perhaps WADA testing protocols. Maybe then you'll get rid of your bias and say, "Well... maybe I should wait and hear the jury first?".

I haven't hated on Wilder at all. I haven't hated on Povetkin either. All I'm saying, is you guys should stop being biased for either side and simply wait. It's not hard to do, and it makes you look less of an ass & fool in the long run.

Povetkin is a cheater. I hope Wilder chooses a decent opponent and not another low level journeyman.

I suggest you quit rooting for a cheater and then you won't have to make excuses! Simple then! It makes you LOOK ****** not me! Tell Barry Bonds Jr. He got caught. Deal with it. Facts he FAILED the test.

Why has Pedovetkin not asked for the B Sample to be tested??? Dude he could get caught a hundred times and you would STILL be a Blind RTard in DENIAL!!! Your a FOOL who believes a CHEAT. I'm gonna laugh my @ss off and his B Sample comes back positive. And then the NSAC suspends him and other states honor it....Don't worry your boy can still fight and cheat in Russia

I'm confused???? How is losing out on a 4.6 million payday with the chance of an extra $700000 if he wins a lucky escape? That would have been more than double his biggest career purse. Win or lose he was making at least 4.6 million. He may never get this chance to make that kind of money again in this sport. It only takes 1 punch in the HW division. Why do you think Fury was so pissed off about the 2 cancelled Haye fights? It had nothing to do with accolades & bringing the fans the best fight. It was all about money...

Wilder's next fight will be against Gerald Washington. He is ranked #15 by the WBC, no one has ever heard of him and he is a journeyman who can't punch his way through a paper bag. in order words, he is exactly the type of fighter that Wilder loves to fight.
