Why would somebody shout Brown Pride out regarding Canelo?
He is the seed of the Spanish conquistadors, who laid waste to the native Mexican Amerindians.
His ancestors forced the Spanish language (white, indo-European language) on the the "brown" people of Mexico.Comment

That's what I never understood about Mexicans, and latinos.
They act as if the Spanish language is so important, and it's a way of "not complying to White supremacy" or some ****** ****.
But in reality, Spain, a country of White Europeans, CONQUERED Mexico, and the Latin Americas, and FORCED their language, and whatnot, on all the BROWN, indigenous peoples?
Canelo is the reminder of what happened in Mexico - Whites conquered them.
Throughout Mexico, and the Latin Americas, White supremacy is more alive than North America. Just about every single person in power is White, or almost White. Their standard of beauty is more eurocentric than Europe! Their beauty pageant winners are White - Venezuela, Columbia, Mexico, Ecuador, etc.Comment

That's a bit harsh to Canelo, and you're assuming a lot about his ancestry. Who knows where his family originates from, could be Ireland, Italy, etc. Perhaps he's a Mestizo Mexican who looks completely European and maybe he has grand parents that look more indigenous. Whatever the case, and you do bring up some truth in your post, I think it's more nationality pride than anything else.Comment

Canelo offered the cw and marquez it was his comeback fight after retirement, Canelo has had 7 cw fights, Cotto has had 4 cw fights, pacquaio has had 3 cw fights. So why you just attacking Floyd who fought both De La Hoya and Cotto at the full 154 unlike other fightersComment

Because Spanish is such a beautiful language, so they claim it as their own. Modern day Mexican culture is massively influenced by European, and especially Spanish culture. This is ancient Mexican language, which modern-day Mexicans have zero interest in:
Pretty obvious why they have zero interest in and why they have such a deep love for the Romantic language, Spanish.
Then when you listen to so-called 'Mexican music' Mariachi, you clearly hear its roots, which lie in Spain:

Indigenous Mexicans were not playing trumpets & violins before the Spanish came over, that's for sure. Their indigenous music sounded like this:
I argued with a Puerto Rican once because I informed him the reality of Spanish being a language which white people created. Then he got angry and claimed "mother****er, white people don't speak Spanish!". I think in his mind, his only idea of 'white people' is white Americans, who for the most part, only speak English. He's never come across white people like this before:
Hispanics tend to really dislike white people, but as you said, cling so tightly to the Spanish language. Bizarre people.Comment
