You're quoting the wrong # here. Saunders, in an interview, demanded 4mil pounds...which translates to $5mil. What fight out there is going to give Saunders 5mil? It was an obvious ploy to price himself out of not having to fight GGG. You are grasping at straws to defend Canelo. Just admit it: the guy don't want any part of GGG at GGG's prime weight. So, go back to advising Canelo...& tell him to go back to 154...if he can...

When has JMM ever said he is Mexico's most popular fighter? I don't think he has ever said that. He does want Canelo to lose, because he has always been jealous of Canelo's popularity, but he has never said "I am more popular than Canelo" it would be just plain ******, unless he said it right after the fourth fight with Pacquiao, which would be the only few months when he could have been actually more popular. Other than that, his predictions and opinions about his fights have been pretty accurate, even if full of disdain and jealousy, except his opinion about the fight vs. Cotto where he and Chavez Sr. said they saw it as a draw or a win for Cotto and they both demonstrated their jealousy for their own particular reasons: Marquez because he feels entitled to be the most popular Mexican boxer in this era, as opposed to Canelo, and Chavez Sr. simply because he wished his sons who are supposed to be boxers, were half as skilled as Canelo is, but they are not, so he feels frustrated about it and his frustration makes him be totally biased against whatever Canelo does.Comment

Belt or $$$$ you ask?...why can't it be both? You only make arguments against GGG when it has a benefit to your favorite fighter Canelo. But too bad that argument is a double-edged sword. If GBP doesn't want to pay the price for a GGG bout, then they must be "SCURRED", right? If Canelo wasn't about the belt, then why pay all those fees up til now? They could have easily been like Cotto & refuse to pay the fees for the belt. Double standards are the worst.Comment

JMM is one of my 4 fav fighters of the Era. But truthfully he's been guilty of making poor opponent selections on multiple occasions. I see he and Nacho are split on this issue. As much as I respect jmm, I wouldn't take his advice on choice of opponent based on timing.Comment

The first ppv you are referring to was high because he was fighting a legend in Cotto and the second did 400k with khan even though he is the most popular boxer from the UK. He's no mayweather and neither is GGG. If Canelo fights a bum he would do sh-t numbers. His fights depend on the opponent solely.Comment
