At 24, in his 19th fight, Parker gave a very good account of himself. Takam also could've done more, but in all honesty, that was a tough fight for both men. Was a great learning experience for Parker. They both had to dig deep. I really enjoyed this bout. Sky sports commentators were def hating, but they always do. Parker should go after Eric Molina next.

As i predicted ,Parker would win a competitive fight. It was competitive bc Parker did not pick his opponents leading up to this smartly . I will also call it still there is a big talent gap between Joshua and Parker for those who still think Parker is ranked over him on the other thread related to who is fighting the better guys.

100% agree. There is a massive gap in talent between Parker and Joshua. Look how fluid Joshua is compared to Parker. Parker just looked akward and clumsy.Even his jab looked bad.It looks like he forces his work instead of making it flow.

I just think he has to work on a lot,and even once he gets there I don't see him being a threat to any of the title holders, let alone the level beneath them.

I think Parker may be just slightly better than Molina...but not really by a lot. That is just how I see it at this stage. I am sure he will improve, but even with some tweaking of certain things I don't have faith that he will go on to do good things. Maybe just below an Arreola level fighter.

Managed to some how forget that this fight was in NZ, and was waiting to watch it tonight on SKY. By the time i'd realized my mistake and tuned in..it was into round 12.

From what i've read Parker took shots, and wasn't the best defensively..which he will have to correct at HW, especially against guys like Joshua.

That was a good win for him though. Takam is a big step up from anything he has faced before.

I agree that some of what is being said is unfair. But to say that he's ready for a belt-holder is pretty equally ridiculous.

                    They still don't get it.

No plodding pressure fighter with no head movement is ever going to make joshua "struggle"

Had it 6-6 even, but I can see Parker winning 7-5
