Maybe the man is legitimately worried of Golovkin. We can use the whole "building PPV hype" excuse all we want, but now Canelo can prolong the fight in hopes GGG ages. Plus, he is A side, so they'll be doing the whole 155 BS even though Canelo is a big boy. Also, the purse will be HUGE in Canelo's favor now.

When GGG turns down all of that BS... Golden Boy and Canelo can claim "GGG is ducking us!"

You're right, Canelo has a plan... just not the plan you're thinking. My opinion.

dont matter? but how can canelo play the bad guy role when he has a whole country backing him up? lol... i thought about this yesterday but quickly dismiss it because i realize that canelo is NOWHERE close to floyd in terms of personality. canelo cant even speak a word in english, how is he suppose to play the villain role? this is not like floyd vs manny. canelo and GGG both are getting love and praises by their people.

Not so sure I agree with this line of thinking, but I guess we'll see.

That's... and interesting theory. It's possible, but I don't think it's true. It's wayyyyyy too risky.

Oscar has done a great job building him up to a star status. He could lose a significant amount of fandom if this backfires.

Canelo looks like a complete faggot doing this, not a villian. GGG isn't nearly as popular or beloved as ODH and doesn't have anywhere near the resume. Canelo looks afraid to fight GGG and has for some time, while Floyd had been calling ODH for years.

Canelo also already has an established base while Floyd was only known in boxing circles. Floyd doing that brought more fans while Canelo doing this is losing him support with his base.

I think you are not seeing things clearly.
That really doesnt matter when more people watched him wanted tosee him lose than win. Canelo realizes hes got alot of haters right now and now want to see him lose bad just like they did mayweather. Theres no such thing as bad publicity. in the end its all about money boxing is a business

Now we know why Schafer ran Golden Boy. If Oscar thinks it's a smart business move to drop a belt to avoid fighting a fighter everyone already thinks your're afraid of he's getting high again. GGG was in the way of that big Canelo-???? megafight? Haymon and TR just settled and I'm hearing they have plans for a couple of fights (Glowacki-Usyk?) and Oscar is telling Canelo to drop the belt smh.

just get people to dislike you. you dont need to know english to do that. Just put up a front your scared to fight a certain fighter and ppl will want to see you lose . That what mayweather accomplished . The majority of People watched his fights in hope of seeing him get knocked out and you know it
