I can see him staying at '155' for a while now. A Cotto rematch wouldn't surprise me.

I think he will fight blown up WW's, and boiled down MW's. Before starting his assault at 156.

ggg can go fight sam soliman as part of his bum of the month campaign, the last guy he fought got dropped after getting punched on the arm

....and canelo is finding it harder and harder to make 155 never mind 154
Nah he makes 155 very EASY. Go watch his weigh in for the Khan and Cotto fight. And look at his 30 day weight for Khan. Can't tell me if he had to he couldn't drain that last pound. He vacated because GGG tired to use that belt to dictate terms at the negotiation table. So he threw it in the trash and now GGG has literally no leverage either you agree to the bigger star's demands or keep fighting bums for peanuts on HBO. But if you want the big boy PPV money then do what Floyd, Cotto, Canelo and many other star fighters did and that's move up or down to get the big fights. He said he would do it remember I'll go to 154 or 168 to get the big fights. 155 is 1 pound less should be no problem.

he has his calves taped up in the khan fight, thats a sign he spent his legs making the weight

i bet you his next fight is at 157 vs ggg, stevens or lemiux

And I'll say it again Canelo can literally fight anyone and it will be on PPV and one of the biggest fights of the year. He can fight any of the top fighters at 154, he can get one of the top guys at 160 to move down or he can also get any of the top fighters at 147 to move up. He has the pick of the litter from 3 different weight classes he's the cash cow in the sport. And like you saw with Khan a Haymon fighter he can get any top fighter to jump political lines to fight him because he can offer more money to fight him then anyone can make fighting someone else.

You sound like the idiots for months who said Canelo is screwed he can't get a big name fight for May he will have to fight Rosado because he has no options. LMAO Same people who said Floyd had no options for 5 years. When you the big fish you always have options because they come to you. Canelo can fight Cotto, Manny, Saunders, Bradley, Jacobs, Brook, the winner of Thurman/Porter, Charlo, Andrade. Hell what if Floyd comes back he could fight Canelo makes more money doing that then any fight other then rematch with Manny.
Khan was accepted because Canelo's & GGG blind fans still held out hope for a GGG fight. All we kept hearing was 'We allowed this fight to happen because Canelo agreed to fight GGG next' So Loeffler was providing cover for Canelo. So that kept GGG fans off of Canelo and everybody swallowed the Khan fight, got the result they knew was coming, and it was out of the way so on to GGG. It was a necessary evil. Then after the fight Canelo talked tough like he really wanted it. Even said he'd fight him at 160. People still had hope. Remember before the Cotto fight how everyone was rooting for Canelo because he's a real Mexican warrior and would fight GGG? I remember. Hope is the only thing that kept people from going in on Canelo. But now that that hope is gone he's getting hammered. You gotta remember, there's always been skepticism in Mexico about Canelo. Look at the way the greats (JCC Jr, JMM) talked about him. They couldn't just come out and say it because he had done nothing to prove their su****ions were correct. Well yesterday he proved them right. Canelo biggest PPV fanbase is Mexican-Americans. There is no PPV for his fights in Mexico. He's pissed off the Mexican-Americans and they're calling him a coward and saying he's ducking. These are the same fans who will take a bullet for Margarito, Morales, Barrera, Chavez Sr. That's the gold standard and Canelo isn't living up to it. In what universe is it a good business move to drop a belt to avoid facing your toughest challenge?

Dude basketball players where these tapes and wraps on their calves now all the time too and it has nothing to do with cutting weight. It's just the new fashion/trend that these trainers tell athletes will help their performance.

Floyd and Manny went 5 years using the I might fight him next card to promote whatever PPV they had at that time. You think the lure or possibility of Canelo fighting GGG next won't be used regardless who he fights next? Nobody got hammered for 5 years straight like Floyd did. Laughing at you thinking this will stop Canelo from getting paid and making big fights until GGG gets it through his head that he needs to agree to Canelo's demands if he wants that fight. It didn't stop Floyd and it didn't stop Manny. And it didn't hurt either guys business one bit.

Floyd and Manny were never mandatories tho!!!! These are two completely different situations. You can't compare the two. I'm more of a Floyd fan than a Manny fan but I like Manny too. Never did I once think Manny was afraid of Floyd or Floyd was afraid of Manny. Both sides played a role in the fight not happening because I think both Arum & Floyd knew that a loss in 2010 would severely hurt either's future earning potential. Even while they didn't fight each other they still had successful PPV's because they fought people who the public wanted to see them fight. Besides GGG, who does the public want to see Canelo fight?

That's semantics and you F ing know it. The only reason they were never officially mandated by these phony belt organizations is because they are corrupt and knew that the fight wasn't happening unless the fighters and their promoters made it happen. If they put a deadline and tried to enforce at any point during the last 5 years what happens? You know damn well either Floyd or Manny would of done what Canelo did and vacated the belt and kept fighting whoever they wanted on PPV. Manny and Floyd were the 2 best fighters in the same damn division for over 5 years straight and these belt organizations broke their own rules, found exceptions or flat out created new belts that allowed both to continue fighting whoever they wanted rather then each other. Laughing at you thinking that all we needed was the WBC to make Manny a "mandatory" and threaten to strip Floyd and we could of had them fight 4 years ago. SMH

And the public wanted to see Floyd fight Guerrero? Or Manny to fight Rios or Algieri? Stop it!

Here you go with your woulda/shoulda/coulda. I'm living in reality. Floyd and Manny were never mado's. GGG and Canelo were. If Canelo is this big star like you claim, why wouldn't the WBC look out for him? You're saying he can sell PPV's with just about anybody like Floyd and Manny. And you're saying the WBC is all about making the most money. So why didn't they look out for Canelo since he's the big star that's going to bring them all this money? And you still didn't answer the other question. Besides GGG, what fight does the public want to see Canelo take and are willing to shell out money for the PPV?
