It may be and he may be but let's be honest, when GGG knocks him out all we will hear is that he was a bum who had never beaten anyone. Eubanks needs to beat Saunders and get that title, then fight GGG... No clue why they didn't make that rematch.

Nobody knows until Canelo answers that question. Even if he had fought at 155 for ten years he still should be able to make 154 without any big problem. He weighed in at 154.5 for at least one of his 155 pound weight limit fights. There is nothing magical about losing that one extra pound to get to 154 that would hurt Canelo in my opinion. He still has 30 hours after the weigh in to eat and take in fluids.

Well I agree of course. Then there's Froch but he won't return most likely and it wouldn't be at 168 in case. So it's Jacobs or Saunders which are legit fights. Canelo can get lost I don't see how he can have fans anymore.

GGG is trying to dictate the terms to Canelo those guys just like Khan will not. Canelo told Khan how much he would be paid, the date, and the weight and he could take it or leave it. He took it. If GGG did the same he would be fighting Canelo in sept.
What fighters? I keep hearing about Canelo the businessman and how great of a business move it was but nobody is telling me who Canelo will fight next. Pacquiao or Mayweather are the only two fights out there for him other than GGG. Nobody is checking for Canelo-Rosado or Canelo-Lemieux. So what's his next fight that made this decision such a great business move?

I wanted the Froch fight bad but at this point he's been gone so long that even that win would be tainted and shat on by these morons on here. Saunders and Jacobs are the only options followed by Zurdo or Chavez Jr. I guess.

He clearly can still make 154 he didn't kill himself at either of his last 2 weigh in to make 155. He weighed 161 at the 30 day weigh in. There are tons of fighters at 154 that weigh much more and cut more weight then 7 pounds in 30 days. He fights at 155 simply because he can but if he wanted a belt he could no doubt cut that last pound.

I think he could fight Bradley, Pac, or even Brook. Pac won't be fighting at 155 though, that's for sure....

But again, all small guys moving up to his mythical weight class. I think he's gonna fight Stevens at like 158. Lemiuex is a big middleweight and I don't think he's coming under 160... I'm fine with it if like Ward-Kovalev, they sign to fight let's say in May or September of 2017 with 1-2 fights before then each...

Nobody was talking about Khan as an opponent until he signed to fight him out of the blue. He could fight a name nobody is even thinking about. Canelo against a mismatch Khan just did 600k ppvs and unless Floyd comes back nobody will have a bigger ppv in the 2016 then him. He can literally fight anyone and it will be a big event and make more money then anybody else can generate. Just using your example Canelo/Lemieux would do 3-4X the PPVs GGG/Lemiuex did last year. So yeah he does not need GGG to make money. GGG needs him to make HALF of what Canelo makes fighting anyone else.

lol he can't make 154 cause he's too big and he can't fight at 160 if it's not GGG cause he'll be a laughing stock.
