Jacobs made 1.5 for the Quillen fight so he is gonna want at least 2.5 for GGG. HBO is not gonna pay upwards of 5 million for that fight. Never gonna happen...
Exactly. Remember quillin the guy who lost to jacobs? This is what he had to say about the money it would take to get him to fight ggg

“Look how much money had to be in the pot for (Mayweather-Pacquiao) to happen,” Quillin said. “Mayweather just got $280 (million) for fighting Pacquiao. I’d be cool with five mill. I’m cool with ten (to face Golovkin).”

And he was the losing B side haymon fighter. LMAO Jacobs will want more then Saunders who K2 refused to offer more then 1.5m. Plus without the theat of a canelo fight saunders and jacobs have more leverage to ask for more money since GGG has no big fight options at 160 now. GGG will fight 2 bums this year if he don't fight canelo. GGG needs to go above or below 160 if he wants a big fight.

They knew all along they didn't want the fight right away, they should have dropped the title and been honest and said they want a few fights at 160 first and they'll revisit the fight next year... Dropping the belt and trying to suck down a guy you're bigger than on fight night is a *****move and makes Canelo look terrible in the public eye wether he made the right choice for himself or not.
catchweights have been a a part of the sport since the beginning of time. I dont understand why people act like this is something new....hell they've been documented since the 1800s.

Back in the day, Champions chose the weight to defend their title on occassion. give or take a few pounds from the divisions limit.

im just a disappointed boxing fan.....Im not a fanatic of either guy but I appreciate their talent but their negotiation skills and tactics suck.

Hopkins was the man at 160 and did the same to fight DLH. Geale did it for Cotto. Mayweather did it for DLH, he picked the gloves, weight, and ring size.

I know GGG is your boy but when a fight doesnt go through and its this public both fighters are to blame.

deal with it man. GGG is no saint where he takes no blame for anything when this guy is friggin 160 a month before the fights. I could see if he was a big middleweight like Kelly Pavlik or Michael NUNN. He is smallish
Hold up, so now he's a SMALL middleweight? Weren't the troll brigade singing that Golovkin is a big middleweight last year and needs to fight Ward, who's 'his size'.

I'm pretty sure you were the one who was saying that Golovkin is a big MW, and that's why he's a wuss for trying to go down to 154 for Floyd, because Floyd is a WW and picking on a fighter 13 pounds lighter is a sign of a coward.

But now all of a sudden he's a small MW and weighs 160 30 days before the fight (which is false he was 164 and 165 last 2 fights).

So when it came to fighting Ward, he's a big MW, but when it comes to accepting a CW from a mexican pu ssy, he's a small MW. Got it.

He just pissed away his best payday and opponent. For what? Another belt? more mandatories and more mismatches. That sucks for fans and this dude is already in his mid 30s. Canelo will be ok with or without him. Im disappointed in both.

I understand where you are coming from but 2/3 belts being handed to you is weak and I wanted to see them earn the status as the true middleweight champion.
Well there's still a chance they could meet in September...if GBP offers 157-158 and like 70-30 then K2 should jump at the chance. He needs the name and money for his career...
If not, they need to make the Saunders or Jacobs fight happen. Even as a fan( a realistic one) of GGG, I'm getting sick of the Wades and Mornroes of the world fighting him. I wanna see him in against a legit threat. Jacobs may be the toughest fight but he may also blow him out early too..

DLH was a legitimate smaller man than hopkins. Canelo already outweights GGG, no point in giving him a CW. Go away hater. Canelo can come at 155 if he wants... GGG will come at 160.

I don't see any big fights above 160 right now except Chavez Jr. And that's just because he has a name...
Maybe the winner of Jack Degale when that happens later in the year...
He's been stuck in this pattern for a while now, waiting for opponents to get in there with him. I give Lemieux a ton of respect, the kid won a title and instead of milking it in Canada he stepped right in to fight GGG.

How often do you see a fighTer right at weight or or 2-3 pounds over with one month left? YOU SAID 5 POUNDS i'll assume you are right considering you follow his every move and turd deposit.

find the post where I said he was a big middleweight, I know you guys get a kick out of looking for people's old post. If you cant find it STFU

Either way, he'd fight floyd little ass, but wouldnt fight canelo below 160....they could have negotiated the weight

I just want to see fight. I dont care who wins, for what belt, etc.

I want the best to fight the best.

Bro his team said anyone from 154-175....we have seen over the past year that its not the case....they do risk vs reward. Froch and Chavez are ok at 68, not ward. who cares. the fight will never happen.

GGG-Canelo is the fight boxing needs, not all this bull crap stripping, mandatories, deadlines, etc.

                sheesh it sucks.

hater...because I like to see titles earned and not given away. I'll be a hater for that. thats 2/3 belts gift wrapped. thats not impressive

Canelito is a punk and GGG is an opportunist with the worst resume in recent memory of a middleweight champion. His best win is friggin Martin Murray. I hope he fights a top 5 middlweight soon. I havent watched his last few fights live outside of Lemieux because its always a no hoper, no name, unranked opponent the last few years.

Dude literally had to beat no one to become unified champion, has 3 belts and only won 1 in the ring...thats pathetic
