Well I already said nothing has changed before or after Khan. Yeah popularity blah blah but whatever. Popularity = revenue. Being a bad guy or painted as a ducker isn't anything new for a PPV star.

      That's gotta be a first.

Name 1 other middleweight EVER, who has..... 1.) never fought a middleweight opponent (LOL)..... 2.) never weighed above 155.

Take your time, I will go make a coffee and wait.....
      Oscar

I'll say this really s-l-o-w-l-y so you can hopefully understand

Canelo is a MW and has been for years

GBP chooses not to match him up with any MWs and have no need to do so whilst poor deluded saps continue to pay his PPVs

Canelo stated in the ring after Khan he had no issues with weight. K2 has suggested that weight wasn't an issue in the minor talks he did have with GBP. Weight being an issue at this point is more misdirection than a legit issue from the stuff I'm seeing.

LOL no leverage? Cmon man you are nuts & lose logic points for even suggesting that. Obviously the guy with almost all the belts & who won by white flag or submission over Canelo has leverage. At this point if Canelo wants his manhood back he needs to fight GGG or he needs GGG to get old or get beat quick. Til either of those things happen GGG has bent over for GGG.

Obviously the money angle is important in the current landscape of boxing business & obviously Canelo is the A side by a landslide so Canelo has leverage there & more leverage than GGG, but that doesn't mean GGG has no leverage & it definitely won't stop Fat Dan & anyone with a social media account from talking **** about Canelo for the rest of his career now over this poorly considered move to lower Canelo's overall value & therefore his own leverage with GGG or anyone moving forward. Canelo is this eras Rid**** Bowe now like it or not.

I don't think that Golovkin has any leverage at all..... pretty much 0.

The only leverage he had was his mandatory position.

The WBC supported Golovkin's stance on the weight, meaning that a purse-bid would ensue a stalled negotiation..... well forget that, because it just got torched.....

And now, Team Golovkin cannot stall the negotiation, because there is no longer a 15-day deadline, and there is NO chance of a purse bid..... meaning that they will have to negotiate/fight for exactly what they are worth.

Forget Golovkin's titles..... they are completely worthless to a man who said this..... "I have no interest in middleweight".

Name one piece of leverage that Golovkin has over Canelo ?

Dropping the belt was brilliant, he just should have done it sooner immediately following the Cotto fight.

If Canelo insists upon a catchweight, with no title at stake, then Golovkin will pretty much have to accept or walk..... not right, but that's how it is, and that's how it was with Team Golovkin when it came to Ward.

GGG is now clearly the ‘A’ side yet Ward still would want to dictate terms, which makes no sense,” Loeffler said.

But whenever it takes place, GGG will have a significantly smaller position at the bargaining table. You mention Canelo handing the belt over after agreeing to fight GGG after Khan as two examples of GGG gaining leverage. I vehemently disagree. In fact, the two go hand in hand. By throwing the belt away, Canelo is reminding him that's it is GGG, not Canelo who needs the belt as some sort of chip. And that he doesn't need to submit to the will of a sanctioning body.

You also say that GGG is in a better position publicly but that only matters if his gate and overall revenue reflect that. So far it's leagues below Canelo who is, for better or worse, a PPV fighter.

          That is exactly right !

And as well as Canelo being the " A-side "..... Golovkin now has no leverage on either the purse or the weight.

Dumping that belt was the best thing that Canelo could have done.

Now we find out if Golovkin really wants to fight, or not.

Save yourself some dignity and put that ****** on your ignore list, just a couple clicks and you don't have to deal with the likes.

If you see through his history, he is basically posting the same couple phrases and hate tirades for 2 years, and hasn't missed a single day, he basically lives in this forum. Probably very unfulfilled life and needs some sympathy, but on this matter it's best to ignore him, so he can get his life in order.

                    Yeah

I initially found it amusing that a guy could either be so seriously deluded or such a low level troll that he kept spouting the same bs over and over again

                    Now it's just sad

So who exactly is GGG going to fight next? BJS has already pulled out of negotiations before and in spite of his talk, I see no reason to think he truly wants GGG next. So if no Canelo, who?
