No it was leverage for Golovkin to get a better deal. Golovkin doesn't have the leverage of the WBC and it's rules now. He'll take what's given just like Guerrero did with Mayweather.

Their plan is perfectly working, as I stated, they never wanted to fight GGG this year and probably neither in 2017.

I just don't get why they wouldn't talk til the purse bid to try to make this fight with the belt intact. Dropping the belt looks bad already + will look even worse if this fight don't get made next.

Well, we are about to find out if Golovkin has half the balls that Khan had, because Canelo just burnt GGG's "mandatory doe" excuse.

Now he can't screw Canelo for 45%, and now he can start to live up to his hype and start on his new diet. Golovkin wanted Ward to drop 4lbs, so now he can drop 5.

Now those 2 situations are identical..... other than the fact that Canelo is not willing to fight anyone else at 160 either, and yet Golovkin has called out half-a-dozen fighters at 168.

GGG already makes more than he needs. Remember he was a poor ass bum back in the day. So now he can make good money fighting other 160 fighters. He doesn't need Canelo, and Canelo knows he needs advantages to even have a chance against GGG. So GGG needs to just move on. Leave Canelo looking ****** and cowardly.

Absolutely. Most fans don't give one f#ck about all this bs drama & talk. They just wanna see the fight. And most people are reasonable & figure most others to be reasonable to so there being so much appeal + money with this fight = these guys should be able to come to an agreement.

Until more details come out about why this isn't looking like it'll be happening it looks bad that Canelo gave GGG his belt without a fight. Rid**** Bowe gets dogged about half the time his name is mentioned today over him giving Lennox Lewis his belt. **** I seen some fans dog Floyd today over not fighting Manny in 2008 or whatever over their drug testing issue that Manny denied. Fans got a very simple take on this ****.

Most people don't remember this political **** or % cut **** or PED testing ****. They remember the fight not happening **** & they'll place the blame on the most easily understood issue & in that case the story will be "Canelo was so scared of GGG he gave up his belt". Canelo just burnt not GGG's excuse but his OWN DUTY to fight GGG.

"but they asked 164 for Ward, so he has to make 155 for Pelirojo doe". Does it really make sense? That's not an argument.
