If they gave up the belt whats the chances they can agree on things without the belt? It sounds like this is about 160 vs 155 or some other catchweight (157, 158). If GGG's team is on some 160 or go f#ck yourself stance why would they change now? I mean Canelo was worth a bunch of money to them with the belt. If you are gonna accept the fight you'll accept the fight. And if Canelo was going to fight at 160 wouldn't he just fight at 160 with the belt?

Based on my assumption that the weight is the killer here I just don't see the point in continuing talks except for the public & media to look like Canelo's side tried to make it to lessen the blow of this f@ggotry.

That fight didn't go to purse bids dumb ****, if Guerrero tried to use it as leverage Mayweather would have dropped the title just like Canelo has.

No it was leverage for Golovkin to get a better deal. Golovkin doesn't have the leverage of the WBC and it's rules now. He'll take what's given just like Guerrero did with Mayweather.

He'll take whatever is fair, and the meaning of that just changed when Canelo turned over his belt to unified champ Ggg. But don't worry about all this hard math, it's a non issue when Canelo is not ready physically or mentally

The difference is in the split if it goes purse bid. However superstars never go purse bid, they get it negotiated first. If there's willingness of course, the main ingredient that's missing here
