... everybody gets whooped sometime -- but just not today.

I believe this is all smoke and mirrors. Golden Boy and Saul Alvarez has no real intentions of ever challenging GGG in the ring. So in order to save face, they are using this deadline as an excuse for not negotiating in good faith, by saying we are going to continue the negotiations, even though Canelo has relinquished the title and the deadline has expired. They are not under any sanctioning body obligation to do so. So then why are they doing this ? It's because they want to fool the boxing public that they still want the fight; Which in my opinion is a lie.

I don't think you guys know too much about this sport.
Says the guy who didn't know, till I put him straight, that a title fight at 155 is a middleweight title fight, and the sanctioned weight limit for a WBC middleweight title fight is always 160lbs, irrespective of catchweight agreements by the fighters.

No matter what happens, they will always find a way to spin it so that GGG gets no credit and his team are dumb, incompetent, liars etc.

I would've liked to see Canelo develop into a bigger version of JMM, but he's clearly not.

How can anybody defend Canelo? This is pathetic and it shows how bias some "fans" of boxing really are. Too many blinded by flags fanatism!
