WBC was trying to force the issue by saying he had to agree to fight in X days. Canelo's like, "bounce that noise...we fight when I SAY we fight."

So he drops the title.

Now, GGG's got two choices. Take the belt and run (which WOULD BE a duck), or accept Caneloweight and whatever other non-Vaseline terms Alvarez can come up with.

Canelo can literally fight whoever he wants. His clout had one of Haymon's biggest named fighter crossing the picket line to fight Canelo. Despite the fact that his adviser is currently being sued by Golden Boy. If Canelo's star power can get a guy like Khan then he can get anyone. Just like Mayweather he can green light any fight he wants. Because Canelo can offer more money to fight him then anyone else can get fighting someone else unless Mayweather comes out retirement. Khan just got what 2-3X his career high to fight Canelo. GGG can fight all those guys you named and not make HALF as much as he would by fighting Canelo. Meanwhile canelo makes paydays almost 10X what GGG makes fighting anyone he chooses. His next fight with or without GGG will be on PPV.

What superstar fighters are ordered by purse bid to fight anyone? If a purse bid is all it took then Manny and Floyd would of been mandated 5 years ago. Superstars at this level choose who where when they are fighting. The only reason Floyd who did not fight his mandatory at 154 a belt he won at a catchweight of 152 and then defended it strictly at 147 for 2 years against opponents of his own choosing was because these corrupt belt organizations broke their own rules. They didn't order him to fight anyone because the moment they did Floyd would of done exactly what Canelo did and trashed the belt. These guys are bigger then these belts or purse bids.
