I like how the Boxing Scene article has RING and lineal champion bolded at the top. That's the only title that matters and Canelo is still king.

Maybe one day if he ever actually fights and beats a MW, we can start entertaining a Golovkin fight. Golovkin is a really talented fighter, hopefully the WBA mandates Golovkin-Jacobs now.

Lineal title is vacant when the lineal champion retires dies or leaves the weight class. Is Canelo at 160? Now GGG fight the # 2 and we get the new lineal champ.
