Despite how manipulated we are into believing what the media reports and what the boxers comment themselves in press conferences, in reality they are nothing but true warriors who will go to insane lengths to prove the world what courage, honor, discipline and dedication really is to the critics who have never stepped foot into a boxing ring, much less with proven beasts that some of them are.

There's only one one thing that can sum up how we all feel about this delicate situation:

Wow..Canelo dropped that belt harder than he dropped Khan.

I can see him vacating, so that he can push the catch-weight, and put off the fight longer (if at all)..while still trying to maintain it's a fight he's actively seeking.

      His ducking game is strong.

Canelo should fight Saunders at 160 now, an get a MW title "again"

Billy Joe Saunders has the WBO title. By the way it's SOOO $strange that GGG hasn't chased this guy's title like he has Canelo's???

Anyways, now that Canelo is not a "MW champion", which he never truly was because he always fought pretending that 155 was MW, he should IMO fight Saunders, AT 160, THE REAL MW WEIGHT LIMIT, to prove that he is legit by beating him, and as a consequence, really piss GGG off by having to negotiate with his team (De la Hoya basically) again, but this time at 160 FOR SURE. Yet the A-side will still be Canelo, so now, the money share will be the possible deterrent.

In the meantime, while Canelo fights Saunders to get a legit MW title, GGG SHOULD PROVE HIMSELF THAT HE IS FOR REAL AS WELL, and fight a real MW challenger, DANIEL JACOBS, a guy with a similar record to his, KO-wise, so let's see if he really can take a punch fighting a guy his own level!

I think those two fights would be great PPV-wise and awesome for the sport. Then, if Canelo wins a fight AT MIDDLEWEIGHT FOR THE VERY 1ST TIME in his career, and he becomes a real MW champion, I am sure he will fight the winner of GGG vs. Jacobs no problem.

That is just my humble opinion, that Canelo doesn't and has never felt comfortable to face GGG at 160 unless he "tastes the 160 weight" with a guy less dangerous than GGG first and beats him in an unquestionable fashion.

I hope we can see GGG-Jacobs and Canelo-Saunders for around September this year, it would be great for boxing having those two fights this year IMO!

It's a PR move. Now they can say they tried to make the fight but GGG demanded too much.

Coward. Now you have nothing to warrant a GGG fight, he owns you. They push too hard and he will just laugh, take his title and walk out of the room. Off to to the negotiating table with Jacobs' people now....
