Oscar doubled Trinidad in landed punches after 8 rounds. He stopped throwing punches the last 3 and a half rounds and STILL finished the fight out landing tito 263 to 166. According to compubox one of the worst decisions of alltime.

I don't care if Oscar gave away rounds at the end it's impossible to give Trinidad 7 rounds in that fight, after 8 you have to struggle to find more then 1 sympathy round to give tito who was being outlclassed.

People forget that prior to the last 3 rounds that Oscar retreated in he actually made Tito look pretty silly in the fight. Had him bleeding, lost and confused. After 9 rounds it was 8-1 Oscar. It could easily have been 9-0 or 7-2 at the worse.

Of course he is a legend. How could you not consider him that. He's definitely a top 50 greatest fighter of all time.

I mean look at all his work. One of boxings greatest amateurs of all time, Olympic gold medalist. Multiple time world champion in many different weight classes. A first ballot hall of famer. Amazing skill, had one of the greatest jabs and left hook of all time. He provided boxing with many classic fights. It's a no brainer.

If you don't think he's a legend then you don't know what a legend is.

No, I didn't score the fight. And I dubbed over the vhs as soon as I got a chance because that was one ****ty fight and I didn't have a new vhs lying around. It was a very close fight, like it or not. Look at the cards from everyone then. Most had Oscar winning by a point or two, if that. And he was a huge media and Vegas favorite so it was a shock that he lost a decision. But after that performance, who could argue that he deserved to win? It's like Froch-Dirrell. Yeah you can say Dre won a close decision. But with the way his heart began pumping kool-aid in the last few rounds, I was glad he lost. Same thing here. But anyway, it was a close fight and that's my point.
