To be honest I don't see Vargas as a better fight than Liam Smith anyway.

I also don't think Kell Brook could sell out the MEN against Vargas. So not sure it adds up.

I think Kell needs to go to America. His career is at a similar stage to what Calzaghe's was when he was beating guys like David Starie. But Calzaghe had the luxury of being one of our few top fighters when the Lacy fight came about. Brook doesn't have that status IMO.

I was on the lucky end of a free Khan ticket for the Diaz fight too. And that was supposed to be a big show where he would sell out an arena in brook's home town etc.
