    Indeed

although some black posters on here were (and still do) defend Peterson's use of drugs, and still support him

Pov should face a lifetime ban, i hate drug cheats. Peterson should have also been banned

I'm no hypocrite, race doesn't factor in my opinions of drug abusers

Sorry, it's not the same in any way, shape or form. Testing for insanely small, trace amounts of a drug that was used for 50 years and was legal 5 months ago and used by most of Eastern Europe is vastly different than testing for anabolic steroid.

Anyone who thinks Povetkin should be banned for years is a witch hunter or a racist (or a bad Wilder fan, the good ones actually want him to fight a decent fighter)

The punishment needs to fit the crime.

I'm thinking this is the case from the comments about Povetkin that excuse him and somehow sling negative things at Wilder like some upside down world.

            • Wow this is very unfortunate news. Wilder was flying into Russia and everything. He showed no fear in Povetkin and was ready to take him on. How can Povetkin, a former world champion, do this to the fans? He should definitely be suspended.

As for Povetkin, I'm withholding judgement until all the research is adequately finished on Meldonium. It's my understanding the drug's half-life is out of the system soon, but no one knows yet how long it takes for it to be completely gone from the system, or for that matter how it reacts to different people's systems. And I still don't know why they would ban a drug when they don't have all the info in from it. To me that's irresponsible. I'm all for clean fighters, but IMO the way this particular incident went down is just wacko.
