But now Saunders I'd probably gonna lose it on his next fight and then GGG will have to wait longer.

Its NOT about the belts. As we can OBVIOUSLY see by all the step aside money GGG takes. Why take step aside money instead of the belt???!
GGG offered Saunders 8x his highest ever payday for a fight in the UK, at Saunder's request. They already negotiated - $4 million, taking 1.5mil off the price, but fighting at Saunder's location. It's Saunders own idiocy if he fights someone else for £500k and loses the belt. He'll be regretting not taking that Golovkin offer, and that's what GGG's team knows.

As to step-aside v belts...in my opinion, Golovkin genuinely thought Canelo would fight him, and knew Cotto never would. It was a simple choice - accept 800k for a fight that would never happen v Cotto, and hopefully a few months down the line get a Canelo fight. You can't blame his choice at the time, he didn't know Canelo would avoid him. If he does it again though, I'll agree.

Before he agreed to move up for Krusher, he tried to get GGG to move up for him instead.

Same question as I asked before, does that make Ward a coward?
Yeah Wards a coward for moving up and fighting a bigger , better version of GGG. Smh.

His comfort zone is between 155-160 if he wants to keep the belt

WBC rules state that the champion can't force the mandatory challenger to fight at any weight less than the division limit. WBC MW title to be vacated eminently.

He stepped aside 4 times already... Sergio-cotto, cotto-geale, cotto-Canelo,and Canelo-khan if it was about belts wouldn't stepped aside 4 damn times already and by Gomez statement looking like a fifth

Canelo should either do one of two things IMO-

1-diet and move down to 154

2-phase yourself into the MW division by actually fighting MWs. So for example-take a Johnson fight, a Jacobs fight, a Lemieux fight, THEN a GGG fight....in other words, ease up in class of opponents before fighting the best (which IS Golovkin, no doubt)...give yourself the best chance of being competitive.
He could have done that in his last fight....but he signed a document stating he would fight golovkin in September and so did golovkin. ..yeah he should have got in the ring with a more larger and credible opponent except he decided to have a money grab fight with Khan....I don't believe canelo can get down to 154 anymore and it would be detrimental to his health I think ! I also think he gives up the title then it really affects his pulling power as a ppv star because basically he's now avoiding a fighter...goldenboy played this wrong in my view....they should have issued a statement before he faced cotto stating golovkin can fight for the belt while canelo has two more tune ups as he's not quite the finished article at middleweight and not quite ready to face golovkin but now either way he loses credibility if he dodges golovkin...it's gone to far now

I think both fighters want this fight. I think the problem this fight has with being made is firmly on the shoulders of GBP/Oscar.

Oscar didn't want Canelo to fight Erislandy Lara if you remember & Canelo had to force that fight to happen. Respect to Canelo for doing what more fighters should be doing to make fights in that case, but I think if this fight gets made it'll need to be because Canelo forced the fight once again. Oscar is counting dollars & granted Canelo (& GGG are too), but they got that competitive thing inside that Oscar had himself when he was coming up.

The money is there for this fight, the fighters want the fight, its just Oscar that'll need convincing so WBC guy needs to go talk to Oscar not Canelo is basically what I'm saying.

WBC has already stated that if both fighters negotiate a lower weight and its agreed to they will sanction it.

Cannel's team wants the fight. Yeah, I want a big castle with wenches, but am probably not doing enough to make it happen.
