Isn't he the guy that Lara beat for his belt? Anyway don't sweat it, question is does Canelos superior resume give him the confidence to enter the ring vs the much less proven guy. Or does he drop the belt in shame?

The context was that Ward wasn't trying to make a fight, he was trying to lock in a purse for a fight to happen a year and a half later.

Stevens and Rosado fights happened while Ward was not fighting.

And funny enough, k2 and HBO offered Ward a fight at that time, HE SAID NO
You can make up exuses all you want but we BOTH know Ward would of BEAT GGG. But don't worry Ward has moved up so GGG is age now. If Ward beats Kovalev and you still think GGG is better you need to slap your self. Hopefully you can slap the ****** out of you.

BUT if Ward beats Kovalev and GGG beats Canelo.... You know EVERYONE is going to be wanting a CW between the two. Bet you ANY amount of Money GGG turns that fight down???

To be honest-I wouldn't have a problem if Canelo dumped the belt. He literally has no experience fighting a MW fighter....is that what you want to see-GGG fighting another asterik?

Canelo should either do one of two things IMO-

1-diet and move down to 154

2-phase yourself into the MW division by actually fighting MWs. So for example-take a Johnson fight, a Jacobs fight, a Lemieux fight, THEN a GGG fight....in other words, ease up in class of opponents before fighting the best (which IS Golovkin, no doubt)...give yourself the best chance of being competitive.

Yeah he's also bad TV like Lara. Just explaining that by your standard Canelo has done way more ducking than GGG. But you're again missing the main point which is Canelo sacking up vs his mando

Totally, he needs to vacate and do either one. Due to his size, rep and big words he was given a voluntary to test the waters at MW and he took it on bad faith and picked a glass jawed welter. He can challenge the champ when his confidence catches up to his superior resume

I know one thing-to this day, Canelo has fought better competition and a better class of fighters than GGG.

Let me ask you a question-Would you think Canelo is a fraud if he ditched the belt to choose to ease himself in class in the MW division or would you prefer that his first MW opponent should be the best, while having literally no experience against MW's?

Was ****** imo....pointless for the fans (but good in financial sense), other than witnessing one of the two most horrific KO's this year-lol

Dropping the belt would be a bad look, but he could redeem himself some if he challenged the champ before too long. Should have fought Lemieux instead of Khan, or vacated after Cotto to return to 154
