And to be cliche it was one of the biggest "black eyes" for boxing in this modern era. Why Tyson did it doesn't really matter. It doesn't make it a okay situation cuz he wanted to quit fighting.

    Mayweather said it best:

"I've set the model of showing fighters how they should conduct their business."
And he did, but not for the reasons you are saying. He went freelance with promoters which no one notable has really done recently. No bs long term promoter contracts that hurt careers like Mikey's, Ward's, Chavez Jr's (although granted he's a f#ckup, but that doesn't change anything with a bs promoter contract) & others have had their careers damaged. No one with a name should be with a promoter.

      Wilder vs Povetkin(drug cheat)
      Ward vs Kovalev
      Porter vs Thurman
Americans are involved in the biggest fights this year.

What are the big fights that doesn't involve an American this year? Canelo vs GGG will NOT happen this year.
