It was beautiful how Canelo set up the right hand to the chin by first making Khan be wary of the right hand to the body. Just goes to show that Alvarez' boxing IQ keeps getting better and better. I think he picked up a lot of little tricks from fighting Floyd.
The amazing thing is that he is only 25. Even if he loses to Golovkin he is young enough to bounce back and have a very bright future.Comment

Great post. I honestly don't see it being competitive either, their isnt anyone at 160 who can stand up to GGG, I've been eager to see him in competitive match ups and fully acknowledge they don't come from 160 for him. I want GGG to move up and face Zurdo and Calum Smith, though I'm not sure GGG will be eager to face Smith.
Canelo is going to look very average against guys like Lemiuex, Jacobs and Murray, this nonsense Canelo can beat him is exactly that, nonsense.
Scotty.. you keep saying that, but honestly GGG will make easy work of him after 5-6 rounds imo.. I know he is one of the better Smiths but frankly he needs to face stiffer challenge to get more credibility & earn more repute..Comment

I got cursed out by a GGG fan because I don't think hes #1 P4P.... I think hes a good fighter but unproven and love to watch him fight but I am not required to think hes #1... its safe to say they are the new pacfanatics.... here we go again...Comment

competitive fight
canelo wont lay down
ggg isn't a crazy fast guy
so they will both stand there and it will be a crazy series of beatdown exchanges
Ward is I think P4P - chocolito in the wings
Ward needs the next 36 months to shine - or notComment

Ask Howard Davis how the amateurs compares to the pros.I think this is a great fight. I don't understand though how you can say Golovkin is not as good as people think he is. As an amateur he had a record of 345 wins with only 5 losses. He now has an undefeated pro record.
I understand he hasn't had the greatest pro resume but he has faced about any style in the amateurs that you could possibly throw at him. Amateurs are also at a much faster pace during the fight because of the low number of rounds. On another note, you don't know who your fighting in the amateurs so no homework on your opponent in those tournaments. I can't remember who was interviewed, but they said amateur boxing can be tougher than pro boxing because of these factors.Comment

Those are valid points but one has to also consider who exactly he was fighting in amateur career on world championships and Olympics. He was fighting much bigger guys - he was moved up from his native weight class to give space to another guy (Artayev, whom he defeated in Olympics eliminator). They thought that GGG would still do good at 165lb. At 72kg (158.4lb) he was devastating – on the way to 2003 World championship he defeated Korobov, than Lee (with large margin), than knocked out Bute (head gear and soft gloves that don’t allow to really form a fist), than in ½ final he defeated huge Cuban (Iordanis Dispeign but I don’t think that I write his name properly, sorry) and than knocked out Ukranian Mashkin. All in one tournament. At 165lb at 2004 Olimpics he was still doing very well till the final where he encountered Gidarbecov (175 and up should be grateful to God that this guy didn’t go to Pro – he was a true monster) and lost. https://********/4YV5kPp4NzgI think this is a great fight. All he needs now is all the belts at 160 (apart from some nice money fights at above/below weights). Than he’ll most probably take all the belts at 168.Comment

As usual, you started out ok.....
But then that creepy man-love kicked in and you went full ******.....
....but now we start he is if you judge it on fighters actually in there prime or per weight ..Mosley was way past it when canelo faced him..cotto was also on the downside of his career and was outweighed considerably by canelo come fight night, trout, angulo ,Lara have not achieved the resume of what triple GGG with the amount of defences he's accumulated and will no doubt break Hopkins record....golovkin is by far the most dangerous fight out there for canelo or any other fighter that competes as a middleweight ...u have to a ****** to think otherwise...ohh yeah it's ****king again lol
He has a **** resume kid, no way you can spin that.
Murray
Pepe Le Pew
It is what it is.
And what sort of ****head boxing fan would count those INTERIM fights as legitimate defences?
You will attempt to compare Hypekin to Hopkins, despite the fact that he wasn't even the real WBA champ..... won't you, you spastic?Comment
