I think it's a great match up stylistically. I don't think GGG steamrolls Canelo. I don't see any way that GGG comes forward the entire fight as he typically does without getting hit flush at some point, harder than anyone has hit him to this point.

Not saying GGG can't take it, but Canelo has real power (even if at 160) and plenty of tools to set up clean power shots. Canelo fancies himself a counter puncher and GGG's style is open season for him- the trouble is that GGG may be too durable and too powerful for the style match up alone to win the fight.

It's a great fight, and it's doubtful it goes to a decision.

            GGG will absolutely wreck Canelo.

Stylistically an easier fight than Murray and the awkward Adamu.

I don't see it as competitive.

Not so sure abt that bro. ITs hard to say because GGG hasnt faced anyone near Canelo level, but GGG as some skills and he hits hard as ****. ITs a great fight actually. I dont see any blowout there.

As for GGG being no. 1 P4P, how? You need to beat top fighters to be no. 1. When Floyd was there, he beat alot of champions, same for Manny. The real no.1 P4P will be determined when Ward-Kovalev fight.

I'll take $100. We can pay through PayPal. And to help you wrongly feel accommodated, KOs pay out double. What's up?

Alvarez was also battle tested on the ropes against Kirkland, and imo, Kirkland also gassed out, no way could he go the distance with Alvarez. Another way to look at it, Alvarez has enough punching power to lure off forward fighters like that. That's his style.

NOw, does a Proksa or Monroe Jr have anything of that style like Alvarez? Lil'G had to work hard and ''Tame'' with a jab.... that's Mexican style? Lemieux is small as hell compared to Lil'G you'd imagine he would've finished him early, but no, he was conservative just like against Stevens, shorter stockier fighters...

Now Alvarez is in the Picture, a boxer - Mexican - fighters with a good enough ring IQ to go the distance with Lil'G. Perhaps this is what people think when they say ''it's going to be a competitive fight..'' yet Lil'G fans never speak stat differences when it comes to a bout that matters...
We all know Angulo wasn't punching hard that night. I'm not sure what was up?

Ok deal ..$100 dollars it is....so if canelo wins by Ko I pay $200 and then vice versa if golovkin wins by ko ....points both ways is a straight $100.... Let's store this bet somewhere if we can

Great post. I honestly don't see it being competitive either, their isnt anyone at 160 who can stand up to GGG, I've been eager to see him in competitive match ups and fully acknowledge they don't come from 160 for him. I want GGG to move up and face Zurdo and Calum Smith, though I'm not sure GGG will be eager to face Smith.

Canelo is going to look very average against guys like Lemiuex, Jacobs and Murray, this nonsense Canelo can beat him is exactly that, nonsense.
