Honestly, after GGG lays the beat down on Alvarez, I would like to see Alvarez face some of the opponents that GGG has fought. That is if he doesn't suckle back down to the SWW/LMW division where he can cut weight and bully around smaller fighters come fight night. Opponents like Murray, Lemieux, and maybe even Stevens. A litmus test so to speak. Just to see how Alvarez compares to some of the so called 'tomato cans' GGG has annihilated.

Just a couple of thoughts.....

When you wrote the bold, did it occur to you that.....

1) Canelo has never fought a middleweight opponent..... not one, EVER

2) Most people would expect " A litmus test so to speak " before the kid faces a beast like Golovkin

Canelo has always been 'marketed' as some man-child phenom, and this scheme has set him up against true HOF's like Cotto, Mosely, and Mayweather. Won two by decision over (let's face it) "passed their primers",....and got "SCHOOLED" for his first loss and left the ring with a jab spanked red face. Not exactly a spectacular shining record when you sit back and look at the big picture.

Canelo fought " true HOF'ers ", who were past-their-prime.....

Golovkin has fought nobody even close.

It is what it is.

I'm not a Canelo hater by any stretch, and I'm still a fan of his, but GGG is the 'goods' and I know the goods when I see it. This catch weight BS is a real disappointment from the Canelo side, and in the end it will do more harm to him than good.

Canelo has shown much more, against much better fighters.

I favor Golovkin, but that fight will be closer than most people think.

The bigger guy doesn't always win, just look how the Cotto vs Pacquiao turn out, Cotto getting smacked up and stopped! Most people thought Cotto was going to beat Pacquiao because he was the bigger stronger guy and knew how to box well, but little Pacman beat the living crap out of Cotto sending him home packing!

Yea, well Canelo is actually bigger in mass now, the kid's fight night weight was the same as Golovkin's is now years ago.. he has obviously put on more mass since then.

Even if he was lighter than GGG, you just can't compare the two. Dude fights nothing like Pac.
