My guess is that the split will be 70/30 at full 160

and 60/40 for a fight at 155-156?

I thought the same thing......makes one suspect Canelo was at least 175 pounds on fight night....they didn't even ask Khan if he wanted to be weighed as it was of no importance....Canelo weighed 171 pounds on fight night against Lara two years ago....and Canelo is much bigger now.....GGG weighed 171 pounds two weeks ago in his fight against Wade......Canelo is actually a naturally bigger man than GGG....Canelo is definitely a middleweight....Canelo looked almost sick making the 155 pounds against Khan......I believe even Canelo wants at least 157......it will be easier for GGG to make 157 than Caneloi....that's my opinion....

I second that.. canola oil weighed 175 against Cotto so he must be taking that stuff Lucas Browne was tested +ve for cutting weight to go to 155..

Are negotiations confidential?..I read an interview where Canelo said,if they want 160,well 160 it is,it sounds very good,but if in the "talks" they offer GGG a 10-90 offer(I am just exaggerating for the sake of argument)Canelos camp could always say GGG declined their offer whilst Canelo saves face saying he agreed on weight.
I really think canelo vs ggg at 160 and there will be blood..ODLH always say he is old school,well,lets make this an old school negotiation too..I think 40-60 will be an acceptable offer,4 oz gloves a 5 x 5 ring and a 15 rounder.bye.

This is how I see it although there really isn't a need for a catchweight as Canelo outweighs GGG on fight night anyway. Canelo is unnecessarily draining himself down to 155. Why?

Canelo would be hurting himself draining down to 155 for a fight just as much as he thinks it will hurt GGG. I would not want to risk cutting weight like that for a fighter like GGG. It may come back and bite him in the ass if he isn't careful.

WBC is a joke! but im glad they are pretending to enforce rules and manadatory fights! anyway I really hope it DOES HAPPEN! watch canelo drop the belt(with no belt at stake no reason to fight) and tell GGG lets fight but at 155! GGG will refuse and canelo washes his hands by saying "see guys I agreed to fight him but he refused"

Let's see if K2/GGG accept the terms of GBP to make the fight or if they want the belt via strip. I think if GGG refuses to come down and gets the WBC belt because Canelo gets stripped, there's some fights Canelo can take in the meantime, other MW's will probably accept a catchweight of 157 or so for the money Canelo brings. Maybe we get Canelo vs Saunders at a cw.

I hope Canelo-GGG come to an agreement at 157, maybe make a compromise. Canelo budges 2lbs, Golovkin budges 3lbs, sounds fair.

I agree with this too. Also the people moaning about Canelo being the champ so he should defend at 160. Yes he should if we lived in an ideal world but we don't. He wouldn't be the first. De La Hoya fought Hopkins at a catchweight and De La Hoya had the WBO belt. Hopkins wanted that big fight and made concessions. GGG will have to do the same.
