it isnt "nuanced", its called CONTEXT and TIMELINE. People around here want to take statements made back in 2012 and 2013 and think the exact same circumstances are in place today.

Nuanced? When exactly was Ward ready to fight? Mayweather and Froch were always going to be big draws and big $ fights even coming out of retirement. And very likely worth taking a detour for. It's common sense. Ward, however, hasn't done anything significant in the ring in years. Still really hasn't. K2 and HBO were ready to make the fight and they all agreed it needed time to build it up. All they've consistently asked of Ward was to get busy, rebuild your brand, and then we can talk. It's been stated clearly and consistently for the past 2 years. Whether you like the way it comes out of Abel's mouth, Tom's mouth or GGG's doesn't matter. It's all been the same thing. Ward had plenty of time to make the fight happen, but he didn't do squat. Sending a lousy offer to GGG then running to the press with it while calling Golovkin names made the move seem more like a publicity stunt rather than a true intent to pursue the fight. No sane person in GGG's position would've signed that contract. End of story. If you would've, tell me why....

there is a distinct difference in the "tone" of his interviews in English, vs interviews like this one in his native tongue.

I suspect he doesnt have all the variables of the English language down pat yet, so quite a bit is lost when he is answering in English. In his native tongue however, he doesnt mince words and comes off as a very serious cat that isnt about any foolishness.......
