See the thing is for me is I see Canelo as more Bhop & GGG more like Tito in this analogy. Although that said I think its an awful analogy first off. I think these two are much closer in skill & much closer in weight than I think you could argue Bhop & Tito were.

This is gonna be a much lower boxing IQ fight than Bhop vs Tito & much more primitive a fight when I see it going down. Although thats not to say boxing IQ won't come into play or decide the fight which I actually think it will.

I actually suspect GGG will be much more careful then people expect like he was vs Lemiuex in this fight & likely do well early via his nice jab. Canelo will adapt & start implementing his plan in the 3rd, 4th rounds & this fight will get decided in the middle rounds with a stoppage or with someone taking a bigger edge that'll more or less continue until the final bell making for a 8-4 type decision one way or another (8-4 in fans minds, although the Canelo judges edge could easily come into play & Canelo steals it).

Ward hid from 175 and is on a Tune Up legendary run

I dont see hunter calling out Ward

I see hunter as a sore loser. I remember when Diaz put Kahn on his ass and Hunter kept calling it a slip

        Agree

GGG fought Lemieux extremly cautious and smart

Just because he goes ballistic on Wade or whoever the previous bum of the month has been, doesnt mean hell fight like that vs Canelo

If he does, Canelo will test that chin bad. Also, Canelo s head movement is underrated, ducks jabs well and counters

Canelo is just a means to a end for Gennady. Canelo says he's not scared to fight at 160 so we'll see.

To be fair.... Canelo is over here ruining his entire roster. Canelo should troll him and ask for Berto next.

            Still...

I don't have issue with the CW. IMO, GGG is the one who needs to man up, drop 5 lbs. and fight. Just do it. And if you beat Canelo, just make sure there was a rematch clause at 160 in the contract. THAT is how you negotiate with the A side fighter.

As for Hunter, he was outta line. Needs to just chill out and go back to the gym, get to work. Hard work relieves stress.

Thats always the case in boxing with either side. Its just what the end their means are for.

This is for sure being underrated & under appreciated I feel. I've been really impressed with Canelo's overall defense & elusiveness. I think GGG gets hit solid way more often than Canelo does & that could be an important component in their fight. GGG is gonna miss way more than he's use to & likely pay for those misses like he never has before.

Canelo's defense is better than Golovkin's. But he definitely gets hit a lot more than is easily identifiable. The way punches bounce of him where you are unsure if it landed is due to how small in comparison his usual opposition is. Small, shot or feather fisted is the usual criteria Saul's opponents meet. Lara wobbled Canelo with a left and he's probably the biggest puncher Alvarez has faced all things considered.

Canelo's defense is very underrated. There is a reason why he has faced top fighters who are extremely sharp and normally very accurate punchers yet when they face Canelo their offensive production falls off a cliff and they usually have career low connect rates against Canelo. His upper body movement allows him to slip punches and then his fast hands get his counter shots in for damage.
