Call His Bluff! Agree to 155 or counter with 157! But trying to stand firm on 160 is laugh, he is not in position to try and force Canelo to fight at 160. Blame yourself blame your big mouth Trainer for Running around saying that you will go down to 154 for Mayweather, you're basically admitting that you can make 155 if you want the IDIOTS around GGG like Abel Sanchez are making him lose any type of leverage in negotiations every time he opens his mouth

Canelo himself just submitted to Cotto and gave him everything he wanted just to get him in the ring. Why does GGG get a pass? I somewhat agree with what B-Hop being saying as of late after really thinking about it
GGG isn't asking for a pass. He is demanding the rules of boxing be followed and the WBC said the will make Canelo fight him next at 160 or GGG gets the title by default. Canelo needed Cotto to get his title. GGG is the mandatory so he doesn't have to beg. Once GGG has the WBC title he can tell Canelo to shove his A side and fight other good middleweights who will agree to fight at 160 pounds. GGG is in the right and Canelo is in the wrong and all the A side BS doesn't change that fact. Middleweight is 160, not 155 and has been for over 100 years. Catchweight champs like Cotto and Canelo are pretend middleweight champs. GGG is the best middleweight in the world and the true middleweight champ and damn near everybody knows it.

Canelo either agrees to fight him at 160 or GGG is the new WBC middleweight champ. Being the unified 160 pound champion is his goal with or without fighting Canelo. After he becomes WBC middleweight champ fighting Canelo isn't important to him anymore. He will fight Canelo on his terms or not at all. Canelo would be his biggest money fight but he can make damn good money fighting other good fighters besides Canelo.
So his entire legacy will be collecting vacant belts and fighting no hoper mandatories? every fighter who became great had to take certain risks man

When it comes to A-Side fighters, they're allowed to manipulate the rules because they generate so much money. Those goes beyond Mayweather/Pacquiao ERA. The man who generates the most money for the sport can do WTF he wants. Right now Canelo is the biggest Draw so he will get what he wants.

I do think he is somewhat getting a pass, his fans want everybody to cater to him and help put him in position to be great instead of expecting him to GO EARN IT! Meaning that YES if that means going down for Canelo or going up for Ward. Nobody ever said becoming great was easy! We have all these high expectation for everybody else but I notice with GGG, for some they just want everything to be HANDED to him. Doesn't work like that! We put these unrealistic expectations on Mayweather and Pacquiao but I'm not seeing the same for GGG. I'm just seeing a fanbase that is happy with HYPE and want to keep that HYPE going.

oh no but he does have to beg and he has been begging. it's like this.....get this. canelo doesn't give 2 ****s about that belt. all canelo cares about is fighting at 155 and making the most amount of money out of it. if push came to shove i could see canelo giving up that belt. whats right is not whats right because golovkin tried to do the exact same thing to ward. i don't even like wards style but thats where golovkin lost me at. asking a 168 pounder to come down to 164 while b*tching about canelo doing the something to him. look...the guy is gonna be 40 fighting for vacant belts and eventually end up losing to a bum. and that will be the story of triple g golovkin.

                Lying ****.

He never said he was too small to fight Ward. What he said was "50/50 money and weight would be fair"

If cutting 5lbs for a fight is so easy, how come Ward couldn't cut a measly 4lbs for Golovkin?

Was Golovkin the WBC and lineal SMW champion?

                  Was Ward his mandatory challenger?

Was GGG trying to defend 168 titles at 161 against Ward?

Do you even know that there are weight divisions in boxing?
