I'm simply stating facts, you can't stay on topic for the life of you and you make borderline ******ed assumptions and "insightful breakdowns".
"Fast hands, slow feet and decent defense doe" . Well then, You don't say.
Anyway, Canelo's power is average and was unable to dispose of Cotto because he didn't pressure nearly enough nor does his style lend itself to do so. I predicted Cotto would get KO'd, as did many others but I was clearly wrong. Cotto's chin, movement and defense kept him live in well through most of the fight. It doesn't help that Canelo was being cute in there and was boxing more so than trying to bulldoze the older legend.
He was countering Cotto with clean shots and managed to wobble him. Once again, where is the Canelo Power ?
It really puts into perspective the different schools of thought with regard to boxing. Do you favor the busier boxer, or do you favor the one that lands one shot, which appears to be powerful? I understand the argument that it's supposed to be about who hurts whom more, but 4-7 decent shots, in my opinion, should be of more than equal value to one shot, even in power. The only exception is if that "one shot" hurts the opponent. Outside of the 12th round, I didn't see any of Canelo's shots hurting Cotto. Even the one in the 12th, it's questionable in the sense that Cotto wasn't seriously hurt. But, I can count that one just for the air coming out of Cotto, I suppose.

Gennady is going to run through him.
You said it yourself, he wobbled him. His power was there obviously but Cotto isn't a face first brawler and his experience allowed him to survive. Add the fact that Canelo isn't a volume puncher nor does he have the stamina and skill set to fight in such a manner and you practically answered your own question. Canelo is a counter puncher, he isn't a pressure fighter. Seriously man, it's elementary.
Is Canelo's power overrated? I would think so but he's far from being feather fisted and that's all you need to keep an opponent at bay. I mean, Willie Jr was able to push GGG back and make him uncomfortable and I'm sure he isn't packing dynamite in his punches neither. Golovkin may win but he won't simply walk through Canelo, not a chance.
Honestly I think Canelo lacks cardio, I bet he runs a lot on the treadmill. He throws a combo and needs to take a breather. And honestly Cotto gets beat hen guys bring it, not guys that throw a 1-2-3 combo and take a break. Margarito and Pac brought it and even Trout did once he realized Cotto was a small guy and he could bully him. I honestly think Canelo should barely be becoming a Jr.MW right now.
The only people saying he's a huge power puncher are the people at HBO trying to sell his fights. Anyone who's watched his last few fights knows he's not a huge puncher. It's odd that it took some of you till the Cotto fight to realize that.
He's got more than enough pop though, and that's where power gets overrated imo, you don't necessarily have to ko or drop your opponent to make an impact on the fight. As long as you can make your opponent second guess himself and change their strategy your power is effective.
Look at the Lara fight , he was was visibly bothered after the 4th round when he started tasting those body shots and resorted to literally running at times. Vast difference from the first three round where he was doing a good job of out boxing Alvarez. He completely changed Lara's game plan simply on body shots.
As far as the Cotto fight ask yourself this, why didn't Cotto ever sit down on his punches ? I don't think he landed one solid left hook. The guy that walked through Martinez and a much bigger Geale was on his toes the whole night and decided to box instead of applying the more aggressive style that had been so effective with roach.
In all likelihood he probably loses to GGG when that fight goes down, but it won't be because he couldn't ko Cotto. If he can make GGG respect his power he's a live dog in that fight.

Gennady is going to pressure him with power he hasn't tasted. GGG is going to beat Canelo. Bad.
