Are you ******ed? Where in my post did you get that from? Smarten up man, read carefully and don't pull points out of thin air to suit your agenda. Do I agree with what Saul said? No, but this thread has nothing to do with his statements nor did I mention anything of the sort in any of my previous posts . I'm telling you, your dislike for the man is borderline obsessive.

I hope they strip Canelo or he loses the title one way or another if he's not willing to properly defend it, but that's neither here nor there because your thread has absolutely nothing to do with either GGG, Saul's decisions or anything else other than why Saul was unable to KO Cotto. Stay on topic for your own thread.

Gennady and Cameltoe are hand in hand right now.

Canelo put a beating on him in round 12 and hurt him bad, and still looked fresh. I don't think the weight is an issue.

I think Canelo would take that fight at 157, but I believe he'll be at 160 within 18 months.
Cotto brawled with Canelo for an entire round and actually won it. I do agree that he was out-boxing Canelo for the most part, but he wasn't running. In fact, Cotto may have been more successful had he moved more. He mostly stayed right in front of Alvarez.

As to round 12, the air appeared to have been knocked out of Cotto for a second. He took a shot to the solar plexus in an exchange. However, I wouldn't say Cotto was significantly hurt. It was just a hard shot. We could notice that the air came out because it caught Cotto in mid shout, but that was about it for the effects. Canelo obviously hoped he was significantly hurt and attempted to KO him, but Cotto just started out-boxing him again.

You pretty much gotta give Canelo the round because of that shot, but to say that it was a beating is an exaggeration. Had it not been for that shot, it would've been another pretty even round.

Floyd and Manny beat the crap out of Cotto; yet Canelo couldn't finish him

I hope he faces Gennady next. Easy work

Because of his slow feet and low work rate. He didn't throw nearly enough punches to stop Miguel. He won that fight simply on cleaner and harder punching alone as opposed to volume. The fight was a lot closer to my estimation. Cotto was beating him to the punch all night long but Saul would counter him with just a single thudding punch in return. He didn't put enough punches together to get Cotto out of there

If he would have KO'ed him NSB would have been like "PEDs!".

To answer the question though, Cotto changed defensively over the years.

I'm simply stating facts, you can't stay on topic for the life of you and you make borderline ******ed assumptions and "insightful breakdowns".

"Fast hands, slow feet and decent defense doe" . Well then, You don't say.

Anyway, Canelo's power is average and was unable to dispose of Cotto because he didn't pressure nearly enough nor does his style lend itself to do so. I predicted Cotto would get KO'd, as did many others but I was clearly wrong. Cotto's chin, movement and defense kept him live in well through most of the fight. It doesn't help that Canelo was being cute in there and was boxing more so than trying to bulldoze the older legend.
