Walters would rather duck for $0, than take a great payday. Dude must have forgotten how poor the rest of the world is.

nah. For one Showtime said that but never actually made an offer and they knew that TR needed that 6/11 date for the PR parade. Secondly now Loma can make history by winning his 2nd world title in the least amount of fights ever vs Rocky and Rocky sells more tickets in NY. It is a win win all the way around. Loma can fight Walters down the road and meanwhile Loma keeps building his name and he will deserve even a bigger split of the purseComment

What's Walters next move? If Lomancheko beats Martinez he fights Miguel Berchet , then both team Loma & team Fortuna are cool with fighting each other so unification after that.
Walters not going to seat in bench for a year?Comment

Ahh...
It's good to see so many people still can't get over the Salido-Lomachenko fight.
On topic, Walters is a duck and that's pretty much it.
This was obviously an attempted cash-out and instead of trying to prove them wrong, he ran, verifying that he thought the same would happen to him in the fight that Top Rank did.Comment

Is Walters ever gonna fight again? Bob might give him the Mikey treatment if he doesn't take what he gives him.Comment

of course it made sense. he has a whole promotion centered around the pr parade. if it wasnt just banter by espinoza they could have moved the provodnikov date especially since it wasn't set in stone yetComment

The Provo date and opponent was set in stone. It was part of Showtime's announing their spring/summer schedule. Why the hell would they move the Provo date when they already had an opponent and venue? Arum didn't have an opponent or venue and the fight wasn't scheduled. You not making any sense. So you'd rather see Loma-Martinez than Loma-Walters just because it's on PR day? That makes no sense. Why are you taking the side of promoters over fighters? You must be a wage slave who has never negotiated and worked on contract.Comment
