Since when did you see this guy ever sided with Arum? Same poster who gets so sensitive when the subject is about Haymon overpaying his top fighters. He then would justify mismatches; that these Haymon fighters need a break and it's okay for them to take on soft touches.

He would then pontificate about fighters risking their lives and all. He completely forgets that there are 2 fighters in the ring where the Salka fighter is the one most likely to be sent to the nearest emergency. That's okay with him as long as the Haymon fighter is out of harm's way and gets paid handsomely.

I kinda understand where Walters is coming from. It's not apparent to me why Loma deserves the lion's share of the purse at this stage of their careers. If possible, the purse should have been spilt down the middle like someone else suggested..

I'll never side with promoters over fighters. I'm pro worker thru and thru. But it's funny you mention the Garcia-Salka fight. Just yesterday in the thread about Danny I mentioned that fight was wrong. I don't lick the ass of the promoters who rob fighters. Arum is a crook who has admitted to bribing boxing officials. He would be banned for life in any other sport. But I should stick up for him? The only reason Arum got into boxing was because he saw how easy it was to rob fighters. He was sent by the government to clean up the sport but instead he quit his government job and joined the sport. He can be your hero but he's not mine. What I really want to say about his kind will get me banned......

But another network is offering more money for the fight. It was only $100k more but that's $100k closer to making the fight possible. Now you have Walters up to $650k. Loma's gotta give up something too. He can give up $75k from that $850 he's making. Now Walters is at $725 and Loma is at $775k. That seems a lot more reasonable.

nah. For one Showtime said that but never actually made an offer and they knew that TR needed that 6/11 date for the PR parade. Secondly now Loma can make history by winning his 2nd world title in the least amount of fights ever vs Rocky and Rocky sells more tickets in NY. It is a win win all the way around. Loma can fight Walters down the road and meanwhile Loma keeps building his name and he will deserve even a bigger split of the purse

And Arum could've gotten more money from Showtime for the fight. This is strictly on Arum.

Loma was giving Walters the weight advantage. he should get more of the purse. He shouldn't be making all of the sacrifices. Walters needed to give in.

Walter was offered the money he was offered, theirs nothing you can do about that. Crying aint gonna change the deal or anything, but guess waht they offered an extra 300K on top of what he getting paid if he wins. so whats that 750K + 300K puts him over a million dollar deal.
