Comments Thread For: DeGale: I Showed Medina Levels, He Doesn't Deserve Rematch

Rogelio "Porky" Medina was taking every opportunity he had during the post-fight press conference to needle James DeGale, who had just won by unanimous decision but whom Medina accused of spending more time moving than trading.

Scared of the rematch I see. Stay at 168 as long as you can chunky, because the moment to hit 175,you get folded like a lawn chair.

that unnecessary tune-up card before the unification sure backfired. i don't think anyone is more excited for that fight now than they were before saturday

Deale won the fight , looked good early and clueless in comparison late.Medina with his record shouldn't be giving any decent guys much trouble but I don't think Degale is anywhere near as good as he thinks he is.Smith or a Groves fight would be good as no one really seems that bothered about a Jack unification as he too struggled.

I thought he just about did enough but he needs to stop laying on the ropes and not throwing back. At least throw a counter occassionally. He landed some nice shots when pushing Medina back but JDG mostly fights like he doesn't believe in his stamina.

DeGale is average. But all of the champs in that division are kind of average. Gilberto Ramirez looks to be improving but isn't great at the moment, Jack deserves a lot of credit for the improvements he has made but he isn't scaring anyone. Who is the other champion? Sturm? lol

Another delusional british fighter... definitely something in the water. "Fan base is coming along nicely.." No cheers and gets booed after the fight.

I understand what DeGale is saying here and he is clearly levels above Medina.

But if you are going to play with an opponent you DON'T come down to their level to do it!

Degale has always had a tendancy to fight at his opponent's level instead of imposing his class on them. It's a bad habit and will cost him dear one day if he keeps on doing it.
