The one thing he said that was interesting was that he wasn't expecting porky to be that good. Which is true. I was seriously impressed with how much porky improved. Idk if that's his first camp at the summit, but working with GGG made him much much better. I'm starting to root for Degale more and more. Dude is very entertaining and he's willing to unify. He's got the right mentality. Porky gave him a hard fight. Hope medina gets a shot va Ramirez.

Fighters have fights like these against people they should have beaten clearly. Hardly a big deal. It literally happens all the time. Fans are going to call him average or exposed or whatever, but that comes with the territory of boxing. Boxing fans.

I understand what DeGale is saying here and he is clearly levels above Medina.

But if you are going to play with an opponent you DON'T come down to their level to do it!

Degale has always had a tendancy to fight at his opponent's level instead of imposing his class on them. It's a bad habit and will cost him dear one day if he keeps on doing it.

DeGale is an extremely talented fighter. The only problem I saw with him in this fight is that he preferred to show more style than SUBSTANCE. He preferred to showboat than to actually do work. Skill wise he is a top tier talent and I don't see anyone in the 168 weight limit giving him REAL trouble. Sure Medina made it a great competitive fight, but DeGale is clearly the more skilled of the two.

Stop with the "He is AN AVERAGE DELUSIONAL fighter" BS.
He is clearly not average, and LEVELS above a lot of FIGHTERS- a lot.

it happens to degale all the time. thats just the way he fights. groves, wileyski, bute, dirrell, medina. all close fights where he couldn't maintain momentum. it will def hurt him in the future and when he loses he will pretend he won easy and that the other guy coudln't hit him. he was levels above, they don't know sh-it about boxing etc...
