Mayweather has never fought higher than 154, but Ward is willing to drain his body to head eight pounds south. Mayweather defends his title against Ward's close friend, Robert Guerrero, on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Ward called out Floyd at 160.

So following the *****/pro Alvarez/anti GGG logic, he could fight Floyd at 160, he can fight GGG at 164 wait....161 to be accurate.

Ward said he was joking. It wasn't a serious statement.

Triple Flop is terrified of Canelo! That's a fact. He don't want none.

Now a champion can make a special request to not have the title at stake, but lol at the WBC,IBF, and WBA giving up a pay day.
If you are the 160 champion, then you have no right to make fighters in your division fight below the weight class's threshold. Defend it all day, but it's bs. If you're not going to fight at 160, then give up the 160 belt. It's that simple.

I definitely have a problem with K2. Don't talk too tough, to the point where you can't control the situation, and then the negotiations fail! You're 34 yr. old fighter needs his shine NOW!!! Canelo is only 25! They should be prepared to lose weight and make this fight happen! This fight should be the next trilogy like Ali vs. Frazier!

Not flip flopping at all. Cotto agreed to 145, GGG is saying "no".

Big difference, but I would not expect a stain like you to understand that.

He's accommodating 154 to Mayweather because he can get GGG like $40 million and Floyd has no reason to go to 160.

Canelo brings in $15 mil to GGG and Canelo has a stake in fighting at 160 (his belt).

Which is why I say that G should just accept Caneloweight. There will be excuses when he gets schooled no matter what weight they fight at. Best to just get it over with and take the payday.

Make the fight or vacate the belt, simple. NO MORE CATCHWEIGHTS.

Canelo is a guy really really good at cutting weight and acting as if cutting weight were a boxing skill as respectable as a good left hook.

154 is a weightclass, 155 is the very smallest Canelo can make himself and still be effective the next day
