^^^True BUT it was still exciting. Which means that the next fight is GARUNTEED to be exciting!!!! If the first two were exciting, the third one is always amazing. Sometimes its the best of trilogy... but that first fights gonna be hard to beat.
Castillo's in trouble, Weeks steps in, and the fight...is...over!

Agreed. A very exciting fight, but tainted by the cheating that led to the wrong guy getting the win.Originally posted by mECHsLAVEIt'll always be tainted by Corrales cheating to get those extra 30 seconds of rest with the mouthpiece spitting that round, but it was still a great moment. Nowhere NEAR the best ever, though. Sorry.Comment

I don't consider it cheating...if it was cheating he would have been DQ'ed...he got a point taken away, all Castillo had to do was fight smart, but he didn't and he lost.Originally posted by tracyleeAgreed. on the other hand, Castillo landed multiple lowblows in the first fight, came in overweight the 2nd fight and had one of his goons put his foot under the scale, to get an unfair advantage.
corrales tried to buy more time to keep fighting, castillo tried to get an unfair advantage.Comment

lol, I already accepted that I'm just gonna have to agree to disagree with a few Corrales fans on this issue; I dont think coming in 1 lb. over the limit is 'cheating', let alone the big deal some make it out to be. But, buying yourself 30 damn fight changing sec's to recover....thats cheating at it's finest. I'm still pissed at Weeks for allowing that farce to go on.Originally posted by PapiShashoI don't consider it cheating...if it was cheating he would have been DQ'ed...he got a point taken away, all Castillo had to do was fight smart, but he didn't and he lost.

And another thing, we dont KNOW jack really...like Castillo "having" one of his team put his foot under the scale. I wasnt there, so I'm not so quick to assume it was something Castillo was even aware of, let alone responsible for.Last edited by tracylee; 04-28-2006, 06:06 PM.Comment

To play devil's advocate:Originally posted by PapiShashocorrales tried to buy more time to keep fighting, castillo tried to get an unfair advantage.
Isn't gaining more time while clearly hurt gaining an unfair advantage?Comment

Absolutely. Thats why we have the damn 10 ct. to begin with. If the fighter cant 'toe the line' by the count of 10..fights over. Thats the way it's supposed to be.Comment
