If you want to turn Spence into another overpaid, lazy fighter who gets sparked out as soon as he steps up, than sure, put him against Berto.

If you want to actually develop a talent and have him learn on the way up than you go with Diego Chaves.

Spence isn't going to gain any experience fighting a one dimensional hype job on the slide.

Hearn has been trying to get that kid a big summer fight for how long now?
THIS is his big fight, this is the challenge he needs there are no names available that are big to get made for the summer.

Just you wait Hearn will announce some old has been or someone who is shot to pieces getting fed up with it now.

        LMFAO!

Yall really think Spence would get KOed by him?
You must not have watched him much, Spence would massacre Berto.

Berto vs Algieri, that's the fight. Put them somewhere in the undercard of Spence vs Vargas/Ponomarev.

No I think Spence easily beats Berto but that isn't going to prepare him for Kell Brook or other too fighters.

Diego Chaves is tougher and a much better test than Berto.

I like that idea much more. Spence can use a fight against someone like Berto, he's still young and has only one decent fighter on his record. Garcia shouldn't even take fights against faded fighters anymore, Berto would be an obvious step down for him.

Why? Berto is a step down from Algieri. He beat Ortiz for crying out loud..

He should be fighting Peterson or Ponomarev next to continue his journey to the top.

Yeah maybe Chaves would be better but I think Spence is better than Brook, what has Brook done to say he is as good as some say he is?

It makes sense to be honest.

Berto's a veteran, ex world champion, still has something left.

I think money wise though it won't entice Berto unlike Danny.

But I don't want to see Berto-Danny but it's obvious Berto will push for that payday.
